I agree with all of that Richob.

Those of us who have been piecing the jigsaw together over many months can see the beautiful picture that is emerging.
The key pieces that are missing however are the ones that have the largest impact on the SP, namely the cold hard financial pieces. Contacts, revenues, margins for each of the many opportunities. Should these slot in as we all expect they will then the sky really is the limit.

In many respects we are currently the opposite of NCYT, they are an established manufacturer using old tech with no apparent long term IP based pipeline, yet they have contracts, revenues, profits and cash.
AVCT have the opportunity to have both the now and the future and when they do the SP could surprise us all.

Looking further ahead, it is actually quite mind boggling to consider the potential for LFT diagnostics generally and affimers in particular.

The way things are headed it wouldn’t be unreasonable to suggest that the global population will become accustomed to self administering LFT tests, CV19 and its variants will ensure this.

As a consequence, I can see health services adopting LFT’s as an ongoing method of screening the population for a whole host of conditions. Instead of booking an appointment with your GP how much more efficient and cost effective would it be for the NHS to send an appropriate LFT to the patient at home, which is then returned with the relevant sample medium (saliva, urine etc) for a highly accurate diagnosis.

Saves money, saves time and probably saves lives.

Just re-read yesterday’s RNS and the excerpt below suggests that yesterday’s announcement refers only to Europe.

The inference being that UK validation is well in advance of the EU and perhaps UK mass production has commenced in order to supply the demand outlined in today’s press ??

‘On the basis of these excellent initial data, the Company will now progress to a full clinical validation with a larger number of patient samples to CE mark the test for professional use, aiming to bring the test to market in Europe around the end of the first quarter of this year.’

This government has a habit of leaking its plans to the press in advance of any major announcements. It does this to garner public opinion and allow it time to make tweaks if necessary.

When Al mentioned yesterday that he plans to bring our test to market at the end of Q1 then you would assume that production is already underway?

On a lighter note, ‘ministers are considering using celebrities to promote the use of LFT’s’...it’s got to be Joe Root - Test Captain ( see what I did there?) .. sorry.

We were at £1.70.50 on the 6th Nov when the Moderna vaccine news dropped and we were locked out whilst the SP plummeted.

It’s only been a few short months since then but it has felt like a very long 13 weeks.

Stand out endorsement of affimers for me was the comments from Steve Burton CEO of Astrea, as a long established company to say the following in relation to existing tech (antibodies) was indicative of the potential of affimers

I posted this a couple of weeks ago as a guide for new posters, hope it helps:

1. Ignore the derampers - usually turn up on weekday mornings, and repeat themselves over and over - keywords include, the house purchase, delays, lack of communication etc etc. Never have anything meaningful to add - don’t bite just leave them to PL ES and Super Slinkey etc who are very good at dealing with them. Weekends are a good time to avoid the nonsense.

2. Notable posters to look out for include, Chiron, Leewill, Unprecedented, Monkshood, BenBenBen, Oakhurst plus several others

3. Arnold Palmer/Poundcake (same person) along with Richob are the BBs Uber rampers, always a good antidote to the derampers. However since writing this AP has gone and got himself a life ban which is a shame as he was the derampers arch nemesis.

4. MerchantBanker is our favourite deramper and the ‘Coffee’ exchange with Arnold Palmer was a classic and worth looking up.

5 if you are struggling with insomnia, look out for Wyndrum, he will get you off to sleep in no time.

I hope you are right roundhowe and I’ve no reason to contradict your theory. It’s just that it seems that for every positive RNS that fails to move the SP, we tell ourselves that it will be the next one that will really move the SP.
In recent weeks we’ve had several excellent RNS’s (Ava6000, Astrea, Point, Bruker and today’s blockbuster) and yet we seemed glued to £1.20-£1.40
Not deramping at all just very interested to understand what exactly the market requires to move us back towards the pre vaccine levels.
