I confess I'd rather have seen the web site traffic figure go up than down, and the TP figures rising instead of falling. Maybe it's what they need to do (rein-in marketing spend) to get to profit in 2022 as billed. Even if CC would like to spend on marketing and further increase sales she doesn't really have that option now that she's more or less promised profitability – soon.

Just over three new pages of new reviews in France today, so maybe CC will pull it off.

I do think it sensible to start the Black Friday early. Two years ago we suddenly needed a new fridge in October but waited till November for Black Friday (fortunately we had a cold snap and kept the milk outside!). Then, Curry's did the same as eve now and we bought in the first week of Nov and the price didn't move any lower that month. If eve gets a few 'early' people on board, that's great.

Since eve have had well publicised problems with DX it's also a great way to spread their work around the month rather than all happening in just one weekend.

I am guessing that the lack of web traffic in the last few weeks is due to slightly reduced marketing spend so that may be something for those who appreciate cash in the bank. Also, eve can spend more freely into this busier period and perhaps on 1/2 price Channel 4 advertising.

Incidentally, the shape of the Similar Web traffic graph and the TP figures' graph have a lot in common, with highs in March, and again around August. They seem to tell the same story; I do have some confidence in the TP figures and the likelihood that they are a reasonable gauge of eve's sales success / failure. We don't have much to go on between TU's but trustpilot works for me.

184.91K down 16.50% on Sept. But we are still 59th ranked site in home and garden so unchanged against the competition.
October 2020 was around 200k website visits.

November is always busy with Black Friday so expect a bounce in a month.

Joe I have most of my Avct in my isa at average of around 160p and less in my fund and share at around 205p. I think should be ok. What do you reckon?

Joe, I’m sure you would want a bb with only one viewpoint. Avct is my second largest investment. I’d like to read any and all views on Avacta’s prospects, which should improve on HUA and desk top review - assuming all goes well. I topped up at 110, contrary to what wyn did on the recent drop.
I don’t have any influence to fool anyone here.

Come here to read up on the day’s Avct news and what do I find? 5 successive posts on wyn. Honestly, if we set up a parallel BB for avct holders who like to read wyn’s comments (me included) and could be ignored by everyone else I can guarantee that everyone would just move over there!
And I DID post on November 3 (on eve sleep BB) which was the day that, supposedly the mythical wyn / ndn / Ray amalgam had a day off, so pls don’t resort to including me there.
The radio 4 interview stuff is very interesting. Rather dismissive of the U.K. tests that aren’t ‘the one’ which seems a tad unreasonable.

I'm not CC so can't give the numbers or the exact justification but if simba or emma were launching these products, or simply pursuing the sleep wellness theme, I might wonder whether we are missing out.

Yanis, I think she just wants today to be a tiny spark, ahead of next year. Tbh, she did use the same language regarding licensing and brand awareness rather than substantial profit margin during the webinar.
I just tried a dummy sell but couldn't get a quote on HL (I didn't persevere for long) so they must be reasonably busy with eve shares right now.

It'll probably run out of steam (always has in the past, leaving people spiked) but eve sleep on a bit of a rally this morning. They are, from today, now selling the licensed CBD stuff that caused a flash-rise around February – even though I can't see it on their site.
eve say that 2022 will be their first profitable year.

Scotty, I think they are right to stick to what they know. If they can really get themselves profitable then other things become possible. They are still holding back on advertising to balance the books. Getting into a new market would absorb money and effort with a payback down the road. I know I suggested it to them but that was before I made checks on the requirements and then eve confirmed they are very stringent. If eve were a big profitable company then I guess it's the sort of thing they may contemplate.
I think the thing with the BA shop is very good. It shows they are talking to big partners beyond the affiliates such as newspapers and magazines.

Waydan, as eve say 'they are not for everyone' and presumably you had an excellent return process, which has brought you to the BB.
Or you're attracted by the potential of a profit in 2022 which is perfectly understandable.

Very sensible reply from eve (I mentioned first that TP reviews are improving now). I doubt they'd mind me posting it exactly as written:

Thanks also for raising your suggestion on prison mattresses. It's safe to say it's not on our immediate roadmap to explore. Prisons have very stringent testing standards (regarding flammability etc.) that our mattresses aren't manufactured to meet. We are able to produce mattresses for residential (and commercial properties on request), but it would be a distraction at the moment to even explore a route such as prisons with a lot of product development and brand considerations.

That's not to say it's a "never" for the roadmap, but with a close eye on overheads we have to go after the most probable and proven initiatives to help us on our path to profitability and expanding sleep wellness to the widest possible audience.

Talking to ex-neighbours earlier who were convinced they all had Covid 3 or 4 weeks ago. Negative LFTs so took a PCR - only to be then told their PCR negative result came from a dodgy lab. Now not sure whether to get a booster or not. Would’ve been more than handy to have had AffiDX option to know for sure.
Hope Ophidian is going to be the one who’s correct after modest top up yesterday.

Looking at the (soon to be updated) figures for September on Similar Web I notice that 'Germany' represented just '1.12%' of eve UK's web traffic and was up '+332.0%' on the previous month. And on the .fr site, Germany is 3.01% of the traffic.

I'll be interested to see if this figure rises much as the French marketing continues.

Also on the .fr site in September, Belgium is 2.81% of their total traffic and that's up 166.4%. On small numbers of visits an increase of a few visits makes a big percentage increase but if the marketing across the French border to Germany and Belgium brings in a growing number of visits the French campaign would, imv, be bearing fruit.

We should see the October figures in a few days and then these September figures will be gone.
