I just had a reply from eve regarding their deliveries. It was actually very reassuring and makes the point that eve chose DX as they are capable of meeting the new (higher) level of sales that eve expects, and many of the challenges was because they were a new supplier just this summer, to bed-in for the busy period ahead. That's the gist of it anyway. Certainly makes sense so happy to give them the benefit of the doubt for now.

We should soon be moving in to the 'gravitational pull' of the next TU so hopefully you're right Yanis and this is more or less as low at it will go. I know some people are despondent but there will be enough who will take CC at face value when she says 2022 will show a profit. We've never been closer to 2022 than today!

I notice the price peaked +6.7% for a while, then a sell for a higher price (2.96p) than the previous sell, which brought the sp back down a bit.

You're right Pict. And there'll be a contract that can't be ditched overnight (and who'd pick up the slack anyway?).
However, and it could be because they are rushing, some of the vans are driving near houses without stopping (people are tracking the vans these day!) and things are arriving damaged and abused, which is inexcusable.

If eve and the couriers just give accurate info (even if things are going to be late, by several days even) then at least people get the choice on whether to order or not and don't get cheesed off, cancel their order and send back damaged goods, and finally write a damning review which just puts someone else off from buying.

Dontgive, I agree with what you say except on the profits side where they did say ‘consistently profitable in 2022' quite often and haven’t rowed back on that (haven’t said anything in fact!).

There was a very good post on another site on Tuesday. This is what Sarahstevens mentioned, which could apply to eve:

I don’t expect a running commentary from CC and think she is going to make eve a success. The fact that there’s no news on gifts at Xmas isn’t something she’s responsible for as it was something we just expected after last Christmas rather than were told was coming. The CBD is rather different in that we were told it was coming. Having said that we were also told it was a licensed product more to get the eve brand some publicity and test the market rather than be a big money-spinner. It probably just falls short of being particularly news worthy though we should hear in December with the mini TU announcement.

I am rather worried by the couriers. DX are defo losing sales for eve. The reviews of DX are terrible, both on the eve TP page and DX’s own TP page. I did drop a quick note to customer services this morning on the subject and should get a reply in 4 days. The auto reply asked for patience from customers with deliveries as the courier is stretched.

What are eve and DX going to do when Black Friday comes along? People stay home to receive mattresses and the couriers are just not turning up on occasions. It’s a big deal if almost everything you sell is delivered by courier.

(This relates to last year's Well Slept collection I believe, which makes it more surprising they haven't done it again – so far. Surely can't be stuck in containers in Felixstowe?)

I do think we might be due some kind of news quite soon. CBD, or gifts, but Christmas is probably not something they doing now. CC does like to surprise us. Perhaps getting a bit overdue for that when last year’s Boots deal was announced much earlier than now. Maybe they will save news for when they announce the next TU (and give a mini TU at the same time, as they did last December).

Dontgive, I'm not quite sure how it works (and can see that powerful people make events happen to suit themselves) but if there were a whiff of a takeover I think the sp would react quite strongly.. I don't think eve will get taken over for today's market cap.

CC certainly talks-a-good-talk and the more I hear, the more I believe that eve's in the right hands. And with her marketing background and CEO powers we have a dream-team in a single person.
(Hope I am right on this; it's quite important!)
