I nearly wrote to you earlier and elsewhere, but decided not wort the agro, and you know how they interpret posts from 'people on the same side'. I think the word 'imminent' was well chosen: 'Imminent is from Latin imminere, "to overhang," and to say that something is imminent is to say that it is hanging over you and about to fall, in a metaphorical way.'

Can't argue that various reviews and news aren't 'overhanging' and doesn't necessarily mean they will actually 'drop' – just continue to over-hang. Maybe AS is a latin scholar?!

We just opened the pillow box (well my daughters did) and only one in the box! I ordered and paid for two.

I got this for my wife who suffers from aching kidneys when cold this hot water bottle is fantastic for soothing the ache and worked a treat I found that warming the bottle with hot tap water first then removing half that water then replacing it with boiled water from the kettle ( Watch you don’t burn yourself ) I found the bottle lasted around 5 hrs hot and up to 7 hrs warm I have used this on my shoulder as It gets sore now & again I would 100% recommend this to anyone with aches and pains'

Yes the YuYu is a different and unusual shape so costs more to produce but there should be a good margin, for yuyu and for eve, at £60.

Tbh, I didn't realise that Yuyu wasn't a name chosen by eve till Dontgive pointed out that it's another brand. Some other people will make the same mistake and will be happy to pay £60 as that's the budget they have in mind for a gift for a loved one.

My pillows are expected to arrive shortly.. Had this from eve which is interesting as it shows what customers who post on TP should expect from the DX people:

PS At the moment it's money for no work. Maybe if they sell strongly eve will indeed brand some up. But if they brand them up now and they don't sell well - or alternatively the branded ones sell out..

I had never heard of these so others perhaps not either (though probably not directed at me, a man). If people buy from eve then eve makes a profit. I think it's good for eve, no point spending money on reinventing things that already exist.

I did send two ideas for products that eve could be selling only last week. Other people are selling them but not widely. I think it's something eve can explore as much as possible and people will fill up their baskets when buying mattresses etc.

I'm old enough to remember people campaigning against motorcycle helmet coercion; seatbelt wearing coercion. They were wrong but many people died before they 'accepted' (acquiesced) that they were wrong.

In fact, they'd probably still argue that 'it's their right' to choose but then expect the NHS to keep them in a spinal unit and their Council to pay for their house improvements to allow wheelchair access.

Looking back there was no TU in December 2020. We had one last year, probably because things went so well on Black Friday.

I would argue that they wouldn't be competitive with higher prices than the competition, but CC will know how the numbers add up. They are a fairly elastic purchase so people are affected by price. I would say that I've heard many people comment that eve are pricier than some but I wouldn't know now as it's more than 2 years since we bought ours.

If no one buys at higher prices they go bust...

If the sleep away stuff is back in stock that's great :) Looks like Casual investor is right when I visit the sleepover pages, and the whole range is in. Phew.

Tbf to eve, they got a batch of a new product in July. They've sold out in November 'cos it's been a (presumably profitable) success. Most important thing is to get them back in stock asap. Eve must have re-ordered when they realised they had a hit.

As for pricing, sales and promos are more flexible than the headline full price so I would be reluctant to see higher prices. Maybe reduce the discounts if they can still sell them. Eve know more than us on pricing policy and it's a competitive market.

Tbh, I am glad that these are selling well. They must be making a decent profit as it's a mattress (not a 3rd party gift) and more or less unique to eve.
