RE: where are EVE?9 Dec 2021 10:30
Surfie! I have been wondering if you are still here. Nice rise at Xeros recently though only to where it was soon after a bought a small amount. It made me think that things could equally perk up here quite quickly.
I see that (presumably in response to my email last night) that the reference to the sleep mask has near-instantly disappeared: 'Be ready for sleepovers anytime .... a stash-away-able duvet, sublime bedding you’re looking for, we’ve got you covered.'
Yes wyn, could be that you are right. However, and I'm not even guessing, just pondering, the cost of marketing won't have changed very much and that was supposedly a big part of the costs at eve, and the fact that customer services are not great could be because they are busy. If they were quiet then there would be less to do. They were recruiting customer service people quite recently. They could be saving money to announce profit, or saving it to spend on Channel 4 advertising which will be half-price, and CC likes TV advertising.
Volumes look to be fairly low and people are probably jumping ship for a month as they see opportunities elsewhere with time to return here in January. I am slightly puzzled that TP reviews are not increasing fast with Black Friday people giving their feedback.
Even the most gloomy can expect a lift once the TU is announced. I wasn't really expecting a TU in December for reasons I mentioned here. Looks like today's fall could be people who had thought it still possible (me included) have noted that today, Thursday was perhaps the last chance for TU news in December. (Friday?? It's a long-shot.)
One question wyn, would the market know any better than us? Eve has been a tight ship so far. (I do remember a sudden rise at Xeros being followed a few days later by good news that nearly doubled the sp for a while.)
Anyway, I do tend to be the optimist so take it with a pinch of salt and decide for yourselves.
