They seem to be wanting to really push down debt at the moment, I may be wrong, but I view the buybacks as a way to lower there commitments in the future. By that I mean if they dropoff 5 billion on buybacks, that's going to be 5% of 5 billion div that won't need need to be paid ever again, if I'm right how that works. So with the current interest rates it's prob better to focus on buy backs now at low prices, which will benefit them Futher in the future when and hopefully div's climb, which also helps them with their outgoing payments. I'm not saying this ideal, but it seems a good way to strengthen the core coming out of covid with slot more leeway in the future
