Boosters only take 2-3 days to get immunity back up, can't remeber the article, think it was independent. Ok micron bypassing immunity is different from vaccine helping with severe illness. Vaccine resistance to getting it may be a lot lower in cases but stopping severe illness is still decent without booster.

They do seem to be just ignoring it or coming out, with as you said differences to suit their needs. Prob my point was a bit lost, but if they were saying skin colour = more deaths etc then UK would in fact be in a better position than SA, but now those same people who said it will ignore what they previously said and dismiss as you said. Peak around nov 3rd 9.5k hospital, 1k ICU. Peak around sep 15, 8.3k hospital and 1 k ICU. Atm i think it's 7.5k and 900 ICU. What your daughter is going through must be horrible, but I don't mean this with any disrespect. The cases are ticking up, but it's not higher than a few months ago. Also there are some really ****ty viruses and colds going around as well which don't help. Those stats might be useless as well as no idea if it's with or because of, was just from the charts on Google.

Also 16.5k and 1.5k ICU On Dec 2nd when that short lockdown ended . Only had an entire year to get NHS ready and they failed, boosters are our lockdown. The hospital and ICU are low, everything else is guess work. Enso is right only the next few weeks will tell. It's too late to stop it now, if it does get bad, this is it.

I read an article and think it was the people who run some PCR tests, they now believe it is pointless using the 800k daily tests allowance because Omicron spreads so fast. By the time you have results it's already spread, PCR = pointless and huge waste of money, boosters immune response withinn2-3 days, it would be nice if the fear stats and the people bumping their elbows so taking tests go

Are US really a few weeks behind? I kinda feel that isn't the case, the first detected ( only because they were looking) was only 3 days after UKfirst detected. Looking at the infection rate, they have gone up a similar % if not more. I find it hard to believe that it isn't there and hasn't been there a similar time, especially if it is that easy to pass on. Just seems to me US have been handling it different atm

Certainly is possible and I'm not sure what will happen so just watching, lot of stuff both sides that don't really look at facts or edit facts for own goal. If I'd have to pick o am cautiously optimistic that maybe this is being overdone

Energy sanctions may be the later type, but would hurt Russia the most. I don't know how BP book profit from their 20% (?) Stake, but if sanctions were impactful then would the disruption ( probably leading to increased OP etc) mitigate any lose from rosneft?

Why would BP be hurt by a move on Ukraine? ( I don't know much about these things apart from disruptions?) if your adding Ukraine, don't forget Taiwan .

I think BP / BL plan is a little too different from other majors, except maybe shell or maybe total(can't remeber there's) for a merge.

Omi has been here a while it hasn't just started to spread like fire, all that's happening again is every fear monger is causing people to test like mad even if they have barely a cough, they ran out of flow tests on NHS, of course there are going to be more infections now statisitcally

The 18th is just break day for all the parties the gov is having daily, then resuming on 19th. Nothing to worry about.

Maybe Biden gave the Moderna guy a call, always handy when drug companies need to create a new drug that extends their time limit on it going to open market and just after they said they would share it was x amount of poorer countries, wonder if that means the "new" one would be shared too. Same again as last week, spreading fear when they have no clue yet.
