Interested to see how this goes, dont have the balls to put much in, so have a very very small amount and will be watching it like a annoying child that i hope turns into bill gates and not ted bundy, but wont worry too much as i have more and older children.

With elec / has prices going up and elect supplies going bust, are people now coming to realise that in order for oil and gas to be phased out at least in the short term energy prices would have to increase significantly? I know the spike in gas is probably temporary (maybe??) But I don't understand how anyone can not see the costs of said changeover rising or be willing to pay for it. Was I wrong in reading BP are trying to become a utility supplier to consumers too?

Seems to be calmin a hair Mark, @ 1.8%. Got to remeber also US went up by 1% when UK closed, so that difference is in there too.

Have they been maxing the daily volume amounts? I tried to see if there was a history of daily volume but failed .

Don't really know much about quad etc, I understand options closing etc, why would it all happen at one time rather than in a few days leading up? Just auto stuff carrying on?

I got out at 670's, I like the company and future prospects. I don't like Matt,.so many dodgy things, don't trust him at all to to the best or the company and shareholders ( unless there his mates letting them sell early) I've come to the conclusion it is all about what he wants for himself.

Guess it's preference, current yield (original investment+ growth) Vs div yield on original investment. I personal prefer to view my original investment with its yield at that value, find that easier to calculate to get a rough div per year of the top of my head, but then that's because it's a round number lol.

Just out of curiosity, what would you actually do to protect against inflation, where would you move your cash? I havnt really looked into it, but I generally thought goods, gold?, Places with good div / returns and anywhere that makes stuff.

22 days, roughly 5.5m shares each one, being generous. Maybe around 363m spent, i wouldn't mind the dividend from that :) I actually thought they were a lot further along, i have probably ballsed that up though lol. Thanks for the info cam, i like the idea it lasting nearly into Q3 results and the next buyback

Hey Gav, know a lot of people don't like buybacks, bit surely they should factor into it when your talking about inflation. I've read one maybe two were they are saying div + buyback is 10% + returns, so I personally think it should not be ignored. I know theoretically it can be different and certainly don't want to start the buybacks bad/good thing, just looking at a technical numbers point, which seems to be well above inflation
