I do wonder as there are more unhappy people about rising prices, Biden (Jeffrey, i agree wish he would butt out!) India, and others, i wonder if this is partly a smoke screen for them to delay officially announcing a flow increase. An excuse for them not to increase output for a few more weeks, adding some squeeze. They cant be that stupid to have a fall out a return to Covid prices, it would hurt all of them. THis is completely a random observation and in no way fact, just a musing.

Didn't she'll cut dividends more than BP to start with? I know that the % atm is maybe 1 - 1.5% less than BP. Could be wrong, but if this is the case then she'll need to catch up to BP ?

I dont think 310 was crossed, maybe just about 310 now in ADR, fingers crossed it doesn't lol. Could be a bad sign, but hopefully not to much more downward pressure over the next few weeks to results.

If all you are after is quick 3% returns, then there is nothing to be right or wrong about, its fantasy guess land. Completely arbitrary decisions doesn't really mean anything.

Yes i think its very likely. I think 2 weeks more between 318-330, then start to move upwards. However after last results where it was a bit slow off the bat, im not sure if this will move fast, but hopefully a decent up once the funds digest the financial data.

Smithy, we may even get the avocado drinkers if that's the case.

Been seeing more and more articles about BP and renewables, hoping maybe the funds / pensions sitting on the side because oil isn't green enough might start looking at BP differently soon

No worries Mark, I'm positive on this share but am far to emotional to be really doing this, i have thought of what you said, but am medium term at very least so try and remember that. However as bad a idea as it is, i have used this dip and hoping to dip my toe into short term trades, looking at a 5% increase before selling a small amount

Lol smithy, basically what codders / smithy said. I'd rather see BP use this time to strengthen and use the money. I can see why others especially those that need div now this wouldn't be great, but for me Id be happy to wait longer for a div increase and see the company grow and have a safety net incase anything happens in the short - medium term. Covid crash wasn't that long ago, we are in turbulent waters still, I think it would be risky to spend money now after they have had a good start, less it be undone.
