I'm interested to hear people's thoughts about inflation, will it be a issue or just noise? How would it effect BP?

No one's been attacked here. Trying to make some one a bully for no reason, not cool. Stock didn't agree with mojo about casino and started with saying mojo was impatient, mojo then somewhat started to make it more personal wording if anything and told stock to drop it , yet continued to not drop it himself. Just a simple case of both wanted last word, however this is a forum and it's all opinions, don't see anyone being horrible and they can disagree if they want. Just got to learn when to move on. I hope you don't leave mojo and hope things cool down, I personally appreciate both your comments.

Now to throw my meaningless opinion in!
Personally I agree with mojo, there is definitely a lot more retailers using methods of trading that they shouldnt and it would have an impact, and people are treating it like a casino. However i agree with stock I don't believe it is anywhere near the extent that it's having meaningful swings on the FTSE 100. I am of the opinion that retailers cause some moves, but only small. It's still the big boys that really cause the meaningful movements and it's a lot of things combined together. I also personally think that the recent drop was mainly due to inflation BS and changing exchange rates and other things, quad w would have impacted, but to a big degree? I personally don't think so.

Hey Zac, finding the information very useful thanks. I've been intending to look at moving some over to finds after certain point from BP. Also with HL, have you / anyone heard anything good about Lloyds share / fund account, was thinking about this as they don't charge the 0.45%. also sorry folks as this isn't specifically about BP. For a new investor funds seem fairly intimidating to pick the right ones, but I believe they will be good especially as I am new to the game

interesting, so a monthly fee just to access on the go (If im reading correct, i couldnt get the next page to load lol). If they can dominate the charge points area thats not bad.

Has the dilution of shares from SoftBank already happened? I thought it had, but not sure and assuming that is what will happen as part of deal?

They are also I believe cheaper to maintain, however if that battery takes a dump... There is also higher risk that they simply won't hold value of tech moves on like old laptops. Happy that BP is doing charging points, wonder how the profit works from them? A % fee if they sent the ones selling the elec?

Happy that even though oil has been up and down from 70-71 over last two days, that we are recovering and going up to similar levels like last time, closing on 325 on nyse is nice indeed

Just wondering what people's opinions are on this being near $70 but we're at 305 ish instead of 320's. Is the so likely to rise / catch up or if the oil price goes to lower ranges we could be looking at a pull back?

Hey Joey, im still learning my stuff but doesnt XLE already have a lot of the recovery priced in, seems your buying into a already recovered price due to most likly the american oil. XLE just mimics BP shares but with more exaggeration, or used to, seems the upside of BP seems a lot better than XLE atm. Just wondering why you think its better as still learning as i said, best of luck regardless.

That's cool, I just had another look and the stated buybacks is 500 £, not dollar. So on rough look they are about half way through with 240mil to go

New to all this, just missed out on lower prices by a month =(, however got some between 2.50-295 so is alright :)

That was a quick pullback, maybe because of US inflation fears and dilution of shares? Would Matt's sell have made a impact at those numbers?
