As much as i like TA and gaps etc i personally don't see these movements being anything to do with that, or at least not most of the %. Too much movement everywhere else, mimicking the same ups and downs, all with different gaps and charts. This may hit lower, but i don't think its the driving force.

I personally dont understand what is changing. Ok masks and waht else? People still have to quarantine? Last few months its been clear there has been basically no restrictions, everyone has been meeting anyone, going peoples houses, not wearing masks. People out getting ****ed, sitting around tables with 12 people, but thats ok because its outside... the bad decisions happened a while ago and there has been a fake pretence since. Friends of mine moaning how Bojo is ****ing up today, yet in the same breath are visiting relatives up north and going out, seeing groups of people nearly every few days. People seem blind to their own actions because they dont want to think about it and place blame, where i think Bojo is to blame, it isnt today, its what hes done before.

Agree the media will focus on the cases, which i do hope the peak soon, i wonder if thats really the only way out now (for explosion of cases). ****ty times thats for sure.

Down 2.25% on ADR since close, assuming that has a affect, hence the initial drop?

I kind of feel that oil price not really moving might actually be better for now. It seems to go up, SP barely moves, but pulls down a lot more when PoO drops again. Kinda want a quiet month on oil and get through results with some hopefully good news somewhere to get this beast rolling

You think the price will be sub 60p, so are you shorting then?

They can probably work out statistically what range and position has the most stop losses, then they just push that hard and see where it goes.

Hoping there will be some decent news before 19th on Thursday when the next travel update is due, hopefully...

Is this a guess or based on fact? I havnt read up on this In a while, but I don't think long haul is going to make maintenance more regular. If anything, starting, stopping, pressuring the cabin, landing etc puts more stress on the airplane so would probably wear it out faster. However I believe both are irrelevant and it's just done a rotation of days, checking and then regular maintance even if it looks fine on the outside

Mark, I'll probably be corrected but the way I look at it is: they are probabilities, each probability will have a strength and then you make decisions on what you think is likely, which will change as you monitor the flow. It's not a straight line and have to view the entire probability table and make adjustments, also protecting your position if you are not correct. I can see how someone with skill and experience can get out on top if there are trends. It could be BS, but then so could everything and nothing has a reason .

Sorry forgot to add that what i was trying to say is that cases are not irrelevant, they still pose problems.

SEA7, i agree for the UK, other places that dont have the % vaccine? They will be stopping any country with high cases, which will keep travel muted for longer. Hopefully US will open up to UK as they are in similar position, if they havnt done so already

Every day i think i understand your posts a little bit more, which is great because i find them very interesting, but im not smart enough (Yet!) to get them completely. Need to learn about the lingo & TA still, but thought i would say thanks!

Saying that and then noticing the price of oil has dropped by 2% in 10 mins lol. Looks like a stupid musing
