Bought back in today on the low, happy to be back and a bonus few thousand pound profit , now fingers crossed the SP starts climbing again

I read this one wrong . Sold this morning expecting a considerable drop once the WFT news was announced. Amazed there was no dip in SP . Will assess tomorrow as to whether I buy back in or not . Can’t see anything better to put my money in .

Sold this morning, will wait and see what the government announces regarding WFT etc later today and will buy back in if there’s a drop in SP . Couldn’t be happier with how my couple of years have gone . It’s a balancing act with me , being sensible and banking profit or greed and wanting to continue with my huge ( to me, 11,319 shares) investment and leaving myself open to any big drops .

I’m also on the verge of selling . After the ups and downs of the last couple of years i would hate to see a substantial drop after managing a six figure profit recently. I can see the SP rising but , I’m also nervous of the current state of the country and others too . Do I hold on out of greed or do I bank the profit after the emotional roller coaster of covid times ….
Hopefully someone extremely smart will give me some good reasons to continue my investment.

Any reason for the fall today . I was expecting a continued rise

Anyone give me some me some help regarding my tax return . I’m currently showing a 23k loss with shares showing a 21k value although as far as I’m concerned they are currently worthless to me . What happens if this stays frozen for another year or so . Please excuse my lack of intelligence regarding this . Any help gratefully received.

I’ve been watching this share for a while , attracted by the dividend but am struggling to see why there will be any growth in the SP with all the material increases , interest rate hike etc I’m massively invested in shell and apart from the windfall tax crap I think I’m probably better off sticking there at the moment unless any of you guys think differently?

I’m expecting (hoping) £23 plus tomorrow once results are published , especially after BPs sp rise after their results . Then maybe time to sell before all the windfall tax crap starts .

I remember how happy we all were when the sp reached £15 , overjoyed when I saw £18 , never thought I’d see £20 for many years if at all with all the green activists etc now I’m holding out thinking it could eventually reach £23-25 by mid summer , perhaps I’m being slightly optimistic? Thinking of eventually selling some to purchase PSN with its high dividend.

stevebt can I ask why you’d want to sell your shell investment, sp is doing well and possibly rising . I’m invested big time and am looking at PSN as an alternative myself but worried if the divi gets cut the sp could tumble . Cheers

Never had a problem with Hargreaves’s . Always had my dividend paid on the morning due .

It’s hilarious, he must of written twenty odd posts telling us it’s a CRAP share , going nowhere , just like vodafone which he correctly predicted. Telling us that we will see and he knows blah blah blah …then the rds share price does really well and now just like that , he’s forgotten about it being crap and now goes on about topping up , good buying opportunities etc etc . He needs to make his mind up and stop pretending to be some kind of expert . I suppose it gives me something to laugh at most days though .

Do you regret constantly saying that this is a crap share going nowhere. I can’t believe how you’ve swept that all aside after you were convinced you knew it was crap and made sure everyone knew !
Looking a bit silly now and hopefully it will make you realise you certainly aren’t any kind of expert. Thanks for keeping me amused over the last few months though .
