I’m back in profit here , been a bit painful watching psn and tw rising , I still think , with the dividend that this will be a good investment long term, hopefully short term too

Stevebt , not always , and if it recovers quickly your dividend is a bonus , look at Taylor Wimpey , I bought in , will get 14k and sold today around the price I paid , obviously stamp duty to consider but if I’d bought back into psn around the same price I sold , it was almost free money

Crossley, correct regarding BP , I’m waiting to see if it impacts the SP. My dip in Taylor Wimpey has worked well stevebt

Anyone got any opinions on future growth of the SP , everyone seems to have gone quiet , things seem a little more hopeful with lower inflation and hopefully more rate cuts , Bp looks tempting but ….

Does anyone have any positive thoughts about IPX , I’m now thinking about taking a hit and moving on , I’m not sure I can see any large recovery in the near future , maybe long term ?

Nice rise today , I’m feeling optimistic about a recovery, lower inflation, talk of rate cuts , creeping towards pre ex div territory

Another disaster for me , my investment in IPX has dropped off a cliff , TW would have be a good sell this morning and then boom , dropped like most other things . Looking at BP again Steve but rather than jump just yet , I’ll see if things settle on Monday , might just sit tight with TW but I’ll take a hit on the IPX and put that money in BP

Anyone know why the big fall today ?

Well just leaving my money sitting in psn would do nothing if the past 4/5 months is anything to go by , I like to try and make my money work for me rather than just investing in a share and leaving it for 5-10 years , I made 12k trading over a 10 day period prior to selling so let’s see how things go . I have 60k invested in an asset management fund to play around with to keep me busy

Stevebt , I don’t get your thoughts on Taylor Wimpey , the div was 4.4p a share , I bought yesterday at £1.12 , it’s around £1.07 today and the other builders have droppped , if you look at PSN drop today it’s about the same minus divi, it’s basically as I was expecting, my thought process is that in a months time when the div is paid , the loss will return and hopefully a bit of growth too …

Stevebt did you purchase any Taylor Wimpey? Swopped my PSN for them , nice 14k dividend coming my way , might have to hold for a while for the SP to recover but the increase in dividends over persimmon couldn’t be dismissed .

Stevebt , I sold the lot again , I will monitor very closely tomorrow and decide what to do next , sometimes you’ve got to take a risk , especially as we don’t seem to being seeing any sustained growth in the share price, best of luck

Stevebt, I was planning on doing the same but my next move really depends on the budget , I will be watching live and anything negative, I will sell the lot immediately, as I said before , could be a substantial drop in SP or a big gain , I don’t want to sell this and buy Taylor wimps before , therefore incurring charges , only to sell up on budget day , I believe you’ll still have a day or two before TW ex div after the budget , best of luck with whatever you do , my trading has been a five figure success over the last week and half so I’m hoping for some continued luck

Pavriko you did well to get out , hate to be so pessimistic , I can’t see how this is going to recover , inflation will rise , government borrowing increasing , lack of tradespeople etc etc the only way will be a help to buy scheme but is that going to happen with the huge government debt ?
