Dark energy , if you think it will drop to £12/13 why did you spend 10k on shares today , surely you would wait until it hit the level you are saying it will return to soon …seems very peculiar to me
Easy -livin really …
The guy was asking for opinions , I’ve done so before which are often helpful, your post certainly is not .
Long term this will rise considerably in my opinion, bumps in the road will no doubt continue. I can’t see the government not trying to win votes by introducing some form of help to buy , they will be desperate for votes . Hopefully inflation will at least steady , if not drop slightly , can’t see big drops though , uncertainty with oil and gas currently , this shipping problem could cause prices to rise , affecting inflation… I’ve bought back in and I am happy to not stress over further drops in the SP because of where I believe this is going later in the year , if not , sooner . Best of luck , we all need some
Buy then or are you asking for others opinions?
Stevebt, you spoke too soon ….
Good news for me , I hope for much more of a decline in sp but don’t wish misery on others .
Crossley- I make it 23k from LG on last years div figures
Steve you say BP dividend is rubbish , it’s higher than Shell and I’m thinking the PSN dividend is going to remain poor
Maybe off to BP, new boss due in soon who is very highly regarded, also will pay 15k dividends per year. Steve , yes Shell is an option due to recent dip in SP , as I said though , if PSN price drops , I’ll buy back in because I strongly believe the SP is going to increase substantially, just wanted a break after hitting my target.
Decided to have a break from Psn for a while , I believe there are some big gains to come to the sp, long term , however , after making a couple of bad decisions last year with this , I’m extremely pleased to have seen around an 80k increase for me recently, not going to be greedy at the moment, I’ve reached a figure that at the lowest point I doubted I’d ever reach again . Good luck to everyone and if there are any significant dips in the next few months I’ll be back in , run up to the general election should prove to be good news for house builders.
Analysts giving upgrades
Interest rates have already dropped slightly from their peak
Exactly stevebt, all the doom and gloom last year about a big crash …. I definitely see green shoots in the housing market, plus , as we get nearer the election , the government are going to do anything they can to please people, hopefully a scheme to incentivise buyers .
I’d be careful trading these shares at the moment, I’m always telling myself , am I an investor or a gambler ….truth is , nobody knows if this is going to continue the upwards trend or drop drastically with bad news on Wednesday, I’m holding firm and will ride it out whatever, as you know , I came unstuck last year with some bad buying and selling , poor timing , thankfully, I’m not far off a full recovery now .
Crossley thanks for your thoughts , I work of the principle of high risk , high reward , it’s worked previously but , obviously on the downside, it’s extremely worrying at times . I broke my rule of not panic selling last year when it looked like the share price could totally crash , if I hadn’t , I would of been around 50k up on current share price , as it was , I sold in a panic and of course the sp recovered, I bought back in very quickly but ended up with 5,000 less shares . I can’t believe I did it , we all make mistakes. Let’s hope this makes it to £15 soonish
Thanks stevebt
Equilibrium, I understand what you are saying but it represents a 10k loss ( on paper ) for me , a missed opportunity for some trading
Oh dear , hindsight , wish I’d sold yesterday morning at £14 . Hopefully just a blip and there won’t be a big drop from here , fingers crossed
Could do with something to try and get us over the £14 mark , seems to be struggling to break
Better wait for stevebt to answer , he normally has to share his opinion which is pure guess work . The other week he wanted the share price to stay low ( why the hell would you as an investor? ) if you haven’t got funds to invest immediately then you shouldn’t be investing if waiting for income , then he’s going to sell a few thousand ( probably means cash rather than shares ) but thinks it will rise …I’ve always been confused by his ideas , like selling up from SHELL then seeing it go to near an all time high .
My thoughts are that I can’t see any short term good news to spur on a rally upwards , I sincerely hope I’m incorrect because I need to get back near £15 to be happy after taking a bit of a hit on my 25,000 shares .
Let’s hope so , I need it to reach £15. Of course none of us have a crystal ball , however, I’m sure 2024 is going to be better
