I’m holding fire stevebt, this looks like it’s rising and Bp is basically a bit of a gamble , long term you’ll do well but how long until a recovery is anyone’s guess

Morning all , currently massively invested in persimmon house builder , previously I was all in with shell which did very well for me , with a good dividend and an attractive SP I’m thinking about putting all my eggs in the Bp basket , with a view of a big sp rise at some point , failing that , around 20k dividend per year , opinions please , obviously I’ve been doing my own research and understand the windfall tax is increasing, but …..

Someone give me hope please , bought back in at £16.50 and since then we are going nowhere, can’t really see any good news on the horizon with the government set on making things financially tough for most , why would anyone want to buy a new house with just about everything set to go up , please tell me that I’m totally wrong

Meconopsis, I’m looking to buy burgers soon so I want a huge rise extremely fast then I can sell up and enjoy some meat

Stevebt, never want it low , rise and keep rising please . Personally I wouldn’t want to hold back investing in this hoping the sp will stay as it is , as shown recently, any good news and this increases very quickly and even with the negative news from Starmer , it hasn’t dropped significantly, showing the strength and belief in the company currently.

I’ll be over the moon with £20 , I’m certainly concerned short term with the doom and gloom around the up and coming budget , doubting my timing of buying back in

I own two flats that I let , CGT doesn’t overly bother me because the flats have been purchased for the rental income they generate for me , not sure why landlords would suddenly want to sell up , we aren’t interested in the property price rise , the income generated over many years far exceeds CGT , unless I’m missing something ??

Well clearly my early concern of a substantial drop was incorrect.

Denby , since my post I see it’s steadied , the recent rise has been like Christmas for me so I’m not going to be too greedy at the moment, certainly this will increase but I’m trying to see a drop

Are we going to see a drop today , had to happen at some point . Anyone got an opinion?

Betterlife , I like your optimism but beat the all time high ….thats over £32 , I can’t see that happening for a long long time , hope I’m wrong because I will be jumping up and down for joy and wondering what to do with all my dosh !

Denby , I half tongue in cheek 😄 but the trouble is , people read posts like yours and act on it , I’ve heard it before from people I know saying they read so and so online so bought or sold , I know you should do your own research but people are easily influenced, I have been myself after reading too many things others have posted , I try to gather as much information I can before making a decision, after all , I have 20,000 shares so one wrong move costs me a lot of money , used to have over 23k shares but made a bad decision when this looked doomed . Denby , can you explain this rise please , you’ve been informing us all that this share won’t be rising unless of a dividend increase or something, with your information after you knew about the mini global crash recently, can you let me know when this is going to drop significantly so I can sell just before, thanks 😄👍🏻

Extremely positive news at last , the SP is going to steadily grow over time although I’m sure denby will have the exact dates of any major drops ….

Denby come on , stevebt is correct nobody could have know there was a global crash coming , because Psn had reached recent highs , you guessed it would drop back .

You contradict yourself yesterday by telling Steve that you are buying at around £14.89 but a post earlier you said this will drop another 50p , if it’s dropping another 50p why did you post that you are buying at 14.89 , even you must admit that something isn’t correct with your comments

Denby , my sense of humour deserted me when I bought into this company ….

So we have a government that wants to build houses and ease up planning restrictions, rates get cut and the SP drops like a stone , where the logic , can anyone explain to me what’s going on , I appreciate the markets are down but …. This share seriously causes me stress and is hard to work out , maybe next time we hit the £16s i will sell up and move on to something else

Stevebt, we all know this is going up , yes there are problems to be overcome , however, when you look what the share price was pre covid , why can’t this easily be trading in the twenty pound region in the near future , it’s reminding me of the gradual recovery that shell went through and that made me a six figure sum , no reason this won’t too , I’m all in , made a few mistakes when the SP was dropping like a stone , panicked and sold which has cost me a few thousand shares but 20,000 is enough to keep me satisfied.

Let’s hope tomorrow we wil still be happy…
