The SP is really trying to move upwards , every time I think we are off , it drops back into the high £12 area .

Anyone got any positive thoughts?

Stevebt , Shell didn’t look it was doing anything for a while and now look , my timing is terrible , I’m telling myself that this ( Psn) is a sleeping giant that is going to explode into an upward trajectory this year just shell did around late 2022 , of course Psn is tiny compared to them but , if we get some rate cuts then it could follow their upward trend, or am I kidding myself ….? Anyway , no way out for me at this price , I’m stuck until we get over £14 and hopefully £15

Things aren’t looking great currently, I believe a rate drop could give this a boost , can’t think of anything else now , I think lots of us were expecting something sweet in the budget which didn’t happen. I was talking to a fund manager in the city who said , it’s poor practice to sit on something just because you believe it will recover , put your money to work elsewhere, good advice in my opinion, sadly , I haven’t followed my own rules or instinct in the last year , I could of made so much money had I sold up and moved on while things improved early last year and again this , stupidly I convinced myself this was skyrocket with a decent budget for builders ….now look …

I did hold your optimism but now I’m just not sure , why are you so confident of a big improvement in a couple of years , just housing demand?

No I don’t have all my shares in my ISA , I will have to sell at the end of the month to transfer my 20k into the ISA , I’ve still got 100k to I want to get moved over in the next 5 years , whether I stay with PSN or go back in to oil I’m not sure yet

No offence stevebt but it seems ongoing that you want a low SP , is there ever going to be a stage when you want it to rise ? Every month you seem to say you want it to stay low or drop . What’s the point in investing more and more money if the SP never rises , I’m sure you invested a large sum in this when it was over £20 a share , surely you want to see a steady recovery? At the moment I see this going nowhere, there doesn’t seem to be much good news on the horizon, unless I’ve missed something. I really want this to go over £15 , whilst I’ve made money , it feels like it’s rather stale , maybe a decent announcement on the coming dividend maybe kick start it , equally, bad news could send it spiralling downwards again ….

Please educate me anyone if I’m wide of the mark . Cheers

Haha stevebt, won’t upset me , I’m not getting into anymore spats , let’s just say , I’d prefer the sp to be £15 rather than in the 13s , there’s been nothing to get excited about for a while and I’m missing receiving my shell dividend

Slownsteady, keep up if you are going to comment, close on Friday was £14.02, over the weekend he said it was going to be down on Monday ( from opening ) …oh yes it hit 14.02…how the fcuk is that down . Now is a different story

On what basis

All you guys why think drops are funny and LOL I hope you are still laughing now and the odd person who keeps going on about wanting a drop to “top up” (yawn) well , you’ve got it , so don’t start moaning or crying now . I’m sure at some point this year , this will take off, in the meantime (again) I wish I’d sold at the high £14s and gone back into the steady oil industry. Anyway, I’m telling myself this will be one of the bumps in the road along the route to recovery. No idea why it dropped today , I haven’t studied the news yet .

Meconopsis , why would you want to laugh at a drop if you are a SERIOUS investor . I know what I’m doing thank you and I have plenty of money/assets that aren’t invested.

I’ve made six figure paper profits in 12 months and this is not my job so I don’t need some stranger telling me about investing. If you laughed at your favourite football team losing or favourite sports star losing then surely you agree it’s a strange reaction, so maybe I’m passionate about my investments, therefore when they lose (drop) I’m disappointed.

Seen it done it , why would you find a sudden substantial drop in the share price funny , do you actually want to make money or just crack stupid jokes to amuse yourself . If you had a serious amount of money invested in the markets I’d be concerned for your mental state if you find this alarming sudden drop funny , it’s certainly spoilt my weekend seeing thousands wiped off my investment.

Dark energy , if you think it will drop to £12/13 why did you spend 10k on shares today , surely you would wait until it hit the level you are saying it will return to soon …seems very peculiar to me

The guy was asking for opinions , I’ve done so before which are often helpful, your post certainly is not .

Long term this will rise considerably in my opinion, bumps in the road will no doubt continue. I can’t see the government not trying to win votes by introducing some form of help to buy , they will be desperate for votes . Hopefully inflation will at least steady , if not drop slightly , can’t see big drops though , uncertainty with oil and gas currently , this shipping problem could cause prices to rise , affecting inflation… I’ve bought back in and I am happy to not stress over further drops in the SP because of where I believe this is going later in the year , if not , sooner .
