Completely agree here - I said in previous posts that interest rates in the US and UK will probably peak year end or just after - plenty of deflationary aspects to play out yet - oil 30pct plus down from its highs, gas 30pct down in the last 12 months alone - copper around 40pct off - commodities take time to filter through into world markets - markets are forward thinking and buying up now for growth down the pipe - plenty of UK stocks ridiculously priced atm - some will be taken out in the search for growth going forward imo.

For me the macroeconomic environment is trumped by the requirement to facilitate a service without reliance on humans which lets face it are increasingly more expensive as inflation ramps up, that is if you can get the staff in the first place - this is a big big customer for the mighty O - plenty more asian countries will follow imo - my short term target here is £8.50 which will give me a double bag - I will review from there

The narrative against dividend stocks has changed from a value trap scenario to a must have scenario - in a world wide recession fund managers love a steady stock with a good dividend - bt has both and also growth potential - been a silly price for far too long - hopefully a turning point

Agree with you here Anger, - unless a resolution found via ACAS pdq this goes further south imo - shorts increased from 2.18pct on sept 12th to 3.32pct now - that is a 35pct increase - results will be ugly, very ugly on the 17th - I have a buy order in at 150p - gla dyor etc

For me ITVX is a master stroke, timed to go live when the world cup starts and when cost cutting is at its peak or nearing it - a toxic combination for Netflix which makes it very difficult for them to grow numbers in the uk, - ITV Hub has been very successfull and I think ITVX will do even better - tin hat time now, anything for free will do well, my money is on ITV - Netflix's money may also be on ITV if this plays out the way I think it will.

Lots of evidence of this." - Mulder - don't worry too much - Citadel short price circa 59.5p - 61p - they are already 10pct down - shorts look to make 20pct plus and usually fold at 20pct plus down - once the shorts capitulate this will really fly as they are holding a total of 2.45pct of the ITV stock which has to be bought back - kerching

Most city analysts view ITV Studios at 2.5b - Channel 4 which is half the size of ITV was being touted for sale at around 1b - I reckon you have to be looking circa 4b plus minimum for the whole of ITV maybe 4.5b - at 4.5b with around 4.03b shares outstanding that would imply on a rough back of a fag packet calculation a share price of 111p - on a bid that could go up by 30pct if you get a bidding war which would equate to 144p which is why I will not be selling anytime soon.

So glad I added to my holding here at 57p - share should rise pdq from here - up 6pct already at 65.5p - as I have said before on here, you can keep pushing a share down but sooner or later value will out - expect shorts to start closing soon which will fuel the buying

According to the FT Kroger are buying Albertsons - if this is the case then that sends a clear signal that all is well at Kroger which means all is well with Ocado tech - no way a company in trouble would look to expand - the issue could be anti trust - Kroger would have to prove that food prices would not increase - I suspect they will give the argument that home deliveries which are now huge in the US will come down in price due to Ocado technology - interesting times - Albertsons has more than 2200 stores that will need Ocado tech - that will have a big impact on this share price for sure

Dynamofc - don't be daft - I use to work in communications, now I work in finance in charge of my own company and have made a success of it - previous employment history nothing to do with if someone is capable of doing a job properly, that is why you see chief execs from different industries going into other fields of work - if someone who worked for me told me they knew better than I did on how to run my company I would explain why I can run it better and if they still refused to accept this I would get rid of them - RMG like any company, is not sustainable making losses - like the print back in the day, they fought tooth and nail to stop automation and look where it got them.
