Its been a good start Arsnal - I am all in on value UK stocks - it looks like the market agrees atm - going forward gas prices which have tanked 70pct since August, oil which is trading at circa 73 peaked at around 130 and other commodities which are 50pct plus down all need to play out into the system going forward, once they do then UK inflation is going to go down bigtime , leaving the UK economy in a much better position - markets look forward and taking HUGE positions in UK Value stocks right now

Money moving out of US stocks and into cheap undervalued UK stocks - you can see it playing out in front of your eyes - when valuations get stupid then value will out on said stocks either through a stock uplift or a merger/takeover - my advice is if you are not in UK value stocks get in pdq - follow the money

It is interesting to see the reversal in the Dow a few minutes ago, from 150 up to 200 down, a 350 point reversal and RR. has barely moved, in fact it went up .3p - I think even then yanks realise how cheap some UK stock is and are loading up - the dow is ludicrously over priced on any valuation metric you want to use whearas the UK is cheap, dirt cheap in some instances

I did say yesterday on here that rr. were going to rise big this morning and it is proving to be the case so far - massive buys just gone through, I am just wondering if these are short positions closing to go long - let's see - up 3pct atm -

European markets rising big this morning as supply issues ease - combine this with China reopening = big mark up coming for RR tomorrow imo -

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe BT went ex divi today so a flat finish is in effect a 2.31p rise

Nationalisation - great for top notch quality production - I mean British Leyland made the Austin Allegro which I believe was the worst car ever made, that is if they could get the workers to stop striking for long enough to make it - ah yes the good old nationalisation days - keep that red flag flying Heavy

Agree with the latest posts - in a recession the middle/upper class can ride it out by cutting back on going out for meals which will mean an improvement for food sales at MKS imo - My ex wife works as a manager at MKS in a wealthy suburb of London and she said food sales have been off the scale good this Christmas - I have kept adding to my holding here with a recent small buy at 119p - dividend to return in 2023 and MKS to capitalise on demise of other high end retailers by offering concessions in store as they are at present - there is never an ill wind that doesn't blow some good and it is blowing strongly for MKS right now imo -

Dave Ward, the wannabee Scargill taking home 4x what the average postie takes home, then telling said postie to lose the money they need to pay their increased mortgage, gas, electric and food bills to support his cause, that is quite simply grotesque

I think there is a belief that Netflix which has tanked 60pct in the last year is somehow correlated to ITV - personally I see the Netflix struggle as a big plus for ITV especially ITVX which has a free option and must surely capitalise on this - students etc will absolutely love it imo as will people from all demographics looking to reduce their monthly spend - I will be adding if this goes sub 70p

Just added some more at 115.9p and will reinvest my BT dividend accordingly - silly price and now this has been cleared up no reason for BT to be trading at this level, no reason whatsoever

I have to admit I didn't see this coming - I assumed that most workers would be happy with a 10pct rise but obviously not - will look to add more if shorts start closing - that will be the next add trigger point for me

I live just outside London and don't know anyone who is sympathetic to the postal workers or rail workers, most of the people I know view the postal/rail strikes as I do, in a similar vein to the print strike in 1986 when the printers fought tooth and nail to stop modernisation from hot metal lyno type printing to computer generated printing - it basically ended up with 670 people doing the same as 6800 people used to do after modernisation and a lot of pain and hardship for the workers who lost their jobs - businesses are run to make money period - they are not run for freeloaders to make a quick buck from the general public's misery - postal and rail workers will find this out in due course just wait and see
