Re Deutsche Bank upgrade to buy with a 136p target - the analyst stated "we have gained greater clarity regarding Rolls-Royce's civil aerospace aftermarket recovery", - that is techno speak for load up big time - shorts now down to 1.11 and what shorts remain are taking the mother of all beatings - see below - these shorts will have to close sooner or later and this will fuel the rise north as they go long - follow the money

I have added more this morning at 132.9p - the mcap for NEX with 614.09m outstanding shares and a shae price at 132p is around 800m - the revenue was at £1.3bn in the half-year to 30 June 2022 - that just doesn't stack up to me from a valuation point of view - the share is trading at levels not far off the pandemic when there was no treatment known - it has just won a contract worth over EUR1 billion to operate the RE1 and RE11 Rhein-Ruhr-Express lines in Germany to 2033 - people/shorters are pontificating about debt - do you honestly think Rhein-Rhur would not have conducted due dilligence on said company and declined to award the contract if this was an issue ? - I will continue adding on further weakness, - if the share doesn't recover it will be taken over imho

Is David Perry Nick Leason in disguise?, the guy is an absolute numbscull with a 51pct success rating, ffs someone who knows the square root of **** all can pick a share and have a 50pct chance of it going north or south - input figures for inflation out today and bombing - this will feed through to inflation which will tank along with other commodities that have already tanked, wheat, oil etc etc - UK value stocks will rerate on the back of this imo as fund managers search for bargains - RR. is doing it now in front of your eyes - follow the money

A long way off the 30pct required to table a bid but what this indicates to me is how cheap this share is - I added more this morning -

The P/E on ITV is currently around the value of ITV Studios alone - UK value stocks can only be marked down so much until either their results, a takeover etc forces the issue and the share has to be marked higher - this has played out with MKS only a few days ago and will imo play out here -

Agree with much of what you have said here Chilting, I am beginning to wonder if MKS is now back on a takeover list - plenty of PI money out there looking for a place to go - PI generally look for quality companies that have got themselves back on track but are still relatively cheap so they don't have to bid top dollar - MKS fits the bill imo -

Shorts reduced to 1.27pct with Naya Capital pulling out 0.10pct a couple of days ago - you cannot fight market sentiment or you will get a bloody nose, - expect more shorts to close pdq - big well done to all the long term holders on here and the shorters for closing their positions and fuelling the rise north - extra g and t before dinner for me and Mrs C tonight, well earned after a very profitable week - gla and good weekend

UK GDP was pencilled in to fall 0.2pct in Nov and it went up 0.1pct - good news in terms of sentiment for RR. and other stupidly valued UK stocks - follow the money guys

All in all a terrific set of results - the usual profit taking/pump and dump scenario trying to play out atm as I thought it may when I sold a few yesterday and I think with the CPI figures out in the states this afternoon it could drop more depending on how good these figures are, one thing that cannot be taken away here though is the growth in market share for MKS - I will be looking to add back on any substantial falls here

Decided to sell 20pct of my holding here this morning for a 20pct profit as a precaution against the old pump and dump scenario playing out - will look to buy them back if they fall - hopefully they will continue north, let's see

Sainsbury's had good results today on the back of people eating in over the Christmas period - let's face it MKS is the king of eating in and they will absolutely smash it out of the park tomorrow imo - having said that the share has risen substantially in the last week or so so I may take a little profit here today - a further rise tomorrow will depend on clothing and margins, if they have held up then we may see a further uptick - good luck for tomorrow guys

GS TARGET 44P - LMFHO - based on forecast operating profits for ITV Studios of around £259mn in 2022, the division has a theoretical EV of around £3.57bn. After subtracting the relevant debt, and making a few other adjustment there is an equity value of £2.95bn for the production business. Divide this by the number of shares in issue, and you arrive at 74p per share for the studios business – equal to the current value of the entire ITV group - I suspect GS or links to GS are in desperate short positions or trying to force this down for clients stake building for a bid - either way I will continue to add if it falls much further today

A lot being made of the smr competition but to be fair the gov have to be seen to be doing due dilligence here in terms of tenders, moreover these factors are way way down the line - Chinese reopening is now - hence the reversal from red this morning and the share being supported on any weakness - expect more broker upgrades to reflect the increased revenue from long haul flights

Completely agree here with Fleccy - just pull out of India or give the business away if needs be - lance the boil - an absolute disaster investing in that country from the get go

Bald E - I see this as a positive for ITV - No Channel 4 up for grabs leaves ITV as a bigger target IMO and saves them from getting involved in a bidding war and overpaying - I am bigtime optimistic here - re ITVX - anything free (with adverts) is a winner for me in these harsh economic times

Not sure how many times one can say that now is the time to be invested in UK value stocks, unfortunately some people, ie the shorters on here never listen or actually look at the macro/micro economics playing out - 70pct plus of day traders on IG Index which I subscribe to lose money - FACT - learn from the master Buffet, does he day trade ah no, does he make a lot of money investing long term you bet he does - wake up people ffs
