RE: Gas Prices7 Oct 2022 09:47
I have to say, I am tempted to go back into Ocado at these prices - I get that dry ice is rising but transitory inflation prices, ie copper, oil, wheat, gas etc are all around 30pct plus down from their highs - these will play out eventually and inflation will at some point be tamed - Ocado partners show no signs of reducing their cfc's why would they? - to do this would incur above inflation salary increases for staff to facilitate the replacement of the robots - salary increases that other supermarkets have had to absorb, salary increases which are now crystalised - I can see Ocado expanding as this impacts margins for grocers going forward - for me it is only a matter of time before this happens - timing is everything where stocks are concerned as markets are forward thinking - I may open up with a small tranche here.
