Same pattern of buying on weakness prevailing this morning which has played out over the last few days - will continue imo - too much sentiment in favour of RR. atm with the whole world realising they cannot be dependent on Russia in terms of gas and cannot trust Russia in terms of potential conflict - the budget's of many many countries will be tilted strongly to defence and energy and big money will be allocated to this imo - ie jet enjines and nuclear - kerching - I will stick with my 100p target for month end.

Results more or less what I expected them to be - yes basket sizes reduced as expected and profits not as great as expected with more people now back in the workplace - deliveries will not go away basically because it costs plenty to drive your car, park, purchase goods and drive home - that is expensive, very expensive in these times, moreover it takes around an hour, sometimes two hours to do - time is money - two hours of my time costs £100 without petrol costs - why would I do that when Ocado will do it for free? - Ocado partners realise that and have pledged full commitment in a high inflation turbulent market - that is telling, very telling - I will be adding here on any weakness

My 271p buy this morning to add to my current holding has panned out the way I thought it would - with a reversal from a low around 270p to a blue finish - I suspect DK will be reloading shortly ready for a turkey shoot - and the royal mail employees are the target - Dave Ward should learn from the mistake Scargill made with the miners before it is too late.

RE: time to short this to 40p - LMFHO when I saw this - RR. was trading at 79p on the 5th July so it is up some 15pct - big buys are algo traded so once a defined profit which may be as little as 2pct plus is realised it will automatically sell - so of course there will be a pull back especially when there is no news for the market to react to - it has pulled back periodically over the last 3-4 days but been bought back on the dips and will continue to do so imo - I am looking for 100p plus by the end of the month assuming no catastrophic macro/micro economic news in between now and then.

Added today at 271p - nice top up before ex divi - the way I see it is either the unions/workers tow the line and accept the offer or the company splits - either way should result in an uplift for the share price

Tbf Valueplay Ocado is not competing against Aldi and Lidl - Morrisons is and its collapse in sales is reflected accordingly - Ocado is competing against Waitrose whose sales bombed 6.3pct while Ocado's sales increased by 0.7pct - re notifications to buy stuff, nothing new there - they all do it - it's called marketing

Jtan - On fundemantals alone - MKS and ITV - I hold both and like NEX have been adding to my holdings as they have been fallling - only my opinion though matey!

Regardless of inflation concerns, war et al, - Value will out in the end - a share can only be hammered for so long before the p/e and nav drop so low that it attracts PE - MKS is in that category along with a few other UK stocks - the bottom has already been reached imo here - patience is a virtue and will be rewarded in the end - let's wait and see

Commodity prices are going through the floor atm - copper off over 30pct from its May highs with oil off around 25pct - wheat is down around 30pct - these are FACTS that have yet to play out into the inflation figures - markets are forward thinking and as soon as it looks like inflation is under control then theoritically interest rates should peak - when that happens the market will rise and rise big imo - any signs of a solution in the Russia/Ukraine conflict will also see a big rise - I have cash atm, around 20pct of my portfolio but will always seek to add to value, and NEX is value atm imo

It's sickening to see this dropping day in day out - I tend to agree with JG here though in that I think it will come good - all well run companies come back strong in the end - the shift from using cars to buses from a carbon neutral prespective is not going to go away, - NEX is being pounded on high inflation, rising petrol prices et al - but if you look at oil, it is tanking and off around 30pct now from its high in May, copper is down around 40pct, - when these inflationary factors eventually play out in the coming months that in effect will signal an end to interest rate rises and the market in my opinion will come back and come big - I am down nearly 20pct now on NEX but keep adding - patience will be rewarded in the end imo

Disagree Valueplay - as I have said before the macro environment is known - shares have fallen accordingly, some much more than others - the current trading levels for MKS and OCDO are priced in imo - with regards to macroeconomics - wheat and copper are down 30pct from their May high, cotton down 40pct and oil is now showing signs of stabilising and well off its highs - these are big inflation factors that have yet to play out but will in a few months time - the market is basically waiting for inflation figures to stabilise or decrease which in turn will put a halt to rate rises - once this happens the shares that have been sold heavily will reverse pdq - as you say we will see who is right and who is wrong here - good luck

Valueplay - you remind me of myself around 30 years ago when I first started trading, always trying to convince myself that the bottom was not there, telling myself that although a share that I wanted to buy had showed resistance it would fall back again anyway and finding a reason not to buy - you are not alone btw, many more on here giving it large about how Ocado will fall below 500 or even 300 - looking at the 575m raised at 795p tells me all I need to know - the share has fallen a couple of times below the 795p mark but not by much - these investors are big players and can see, as I can see, that the future of retail will be dominated in the end by Ocado - maybe not for a year or two but long term absolutely - good luck with your investments

I still think this is oversold but it is playing to market sentiment atm which is negative on most things travel/oil related - it is way below fair value on fundemantal's but is at the mercy of shorters and sentiment so nothing will change until the results in a couple of weeks time - I am still adding as it falls and expecting the results to be good in light of extra bookings, people still need to travel and NEX will be a beneficiary of this as it is the cheapest way to travel
