davand - my guess would be that as well. they "may" have a strong suspicion but until bio formally declare their intention it is just speculation. They were never going to say anything on that

the one thing that was due today was the future plan. some people think it has been adequately presented - personally I don't.

it is hard to see the SP not drifting down with no news due - unless BIO start buying more. then all bets are off.
that is my hope in the next few days/weeks

firstly the dhsc do ot look like they are "throwing in the towel"
of course if the dispute were to end in NCYT favour the risk is gone. as much as i believe it will it is not a given

the sp is where it is because of the dispute. without the dispute the sp would be higher and there would be less risk of a low ball offer. the dispute would probably/possibly put a competitor off (exception is bio?) however that does not mean it is being used as a tool.

the company have already stated they can't disclose anything due to the nature of the contract. whilst they do seem reticent to provide SH information in this instance i believe them.

i agree that a bid for the company is probably less likely whilst the dispute is hanging over their head, though interestingly bio were interested in accumulating and lets face it nothing has really changed other than being made more formal?

however that is very different to imagining that somebody is manipulating the whole thing? and using it as a tool.

DA may even be happy with the unintended consequence but he is sure as hell not with the DHSC decision to formally make a claim. he also has no control over what the DHSC do - other than he could just pay up

rubbish. why would the dhsc care if someone bid for ncyt?

the dhsc think they might be able to claw back some money. even if they can't they will be seen to be trying to save public money and be stringent after all the billions wasted on track and trace and rubbish PPE etc. even if they lose it won't come out of the pocket of whoever makes the decision to claim . it will be more public money wasted.

looks to me like a PR exercise..dhsc have the time and money to waste and prob hope that ncyt don't

no company is going to say "no we are not interested in II"...besides even if they are super interested does not mean they are going to get it. lets be honest DA is not interested in any shareholders - why would he be? he would be a lot more accountable to IIs.

tell me what II would see in that presentation to make them want to put cash in NCYT with all the other opportunities available? they would need a lot more specifics. that presentation was geared towards existing retail SH.

My hope is that BIO as a competitor and expert in the field have still got their eyes on something that they think has value. We will see soon enough if that presentation has whetted their appetite or changed their mind

i do agree the M&A being mentioned was a good sign - they could have said due to current dispute we are being mindful of our cash position. however i would like to know how much they can spend..if we are talking a couple of £m for a product or £10Ms for a company

i suspect they know IIs will not be interested at present. They would also be a lot more demanding of our David and not hoodwinked by word salad.

kaeren - i would have liked to know how much cash has been ringfenced for the dispute. even though i feel NCYT have a strong case some of the cash needs to be ringfenced for prudent accounting. if we knew how much they could spend then i think it would give a bit more confidence

i think the issue is that we were told we would hear of DA's plan for the future. Whilst the presentation was at times better than expected it still seems like getting blood out of a stone in terms of relevant and useful information in terms of what we hope to achieve in the future. if you are projecting £100m a year then explain how and why? on what? otherwise it is meaningless and just a number plucked out of the air. how can i tell if it feasible?

yes....we get the buzz words of flexibility / drivers for growth / customer driven / blah blah. but in reality i still do not know where the company is going? we know that the future has to be non covid but what exacctly are we going for?

it needs to be simple - we see the value in market x and we have product y ready for launch or being developed. i am afraid he has had more than enough time to make some decisions. surely when he applied for the job they asked him what his vision was - or did they just get lost in the word salad?

for example AVCT - i don't know anything about them - not interested n the least - but even i know what area/ product they are focussing on. shareholders can then decide if they think it is a goer or not. months into DA's reign and i still dont have a clue - other than he is seemingly looking at more feasibility studies

at the moment you are investing in DA...and quite frankly apart from being able to regurgitate some marketing glossary it is very uninspiring

not too much hope for 12.00 and at the moment it is hard to find reasons to stay in. whilst i still think ncyt will have a good case the dhsc dispute is going to drag on for months and is hanging over head like the sword of damocles

My only hope is that bio will take the opportunity to buy at these low prices. quite honestly i would be happier with the company in their hands

the key message for me from the youtube interview was the future "non covid" plan would be revealed in April.....I am expecting to hear which direction(s) DA is pursuing. we can then speculate if it will be a profitable direction or not and hence the future potential of the company. sure rome is not built in a day and his plan may be very much a work in progress but i want to see a clear direction. this is where my worry of the word salad generality is.
i can accept if the cash has to be ringfenced and so this slows down possible progress but i want to know that we are travelling towards a distant land and not floating aimlessly. so tomorrow is all about the future plan for me

i am expecting that revenue is in align with the previous prediction. omicron may have given a bit of a boost which would be great if the case but that would be a bonus
