Caley - as I said I think there is defo a trading opportunity for odx...providing you are happy holding if it goes pear shaped....cd4 still dependent on dd etc

I don't think odx have turned a corner .. yet ..as though they should see some money coming in the next couple of months it could be wiped out by gov dispute..which I think they will lose.

Odx will only turn a corner when they start to sell. Most diagnostic companies lose money.

Now I know you are counting the cd4 losses being terminated as a saving...but it should never been loss making ...or for so long..

it is not whether covid is over - it is whether there is a market for covid tests. the gov don't want testing in my opinion because a) they don't want to deal with the actual numbers and b) they don't want to pay for it

the testing for travel market has taken such a hit that i don't think it will be the money earner it was before. also if the gov says you have to test for travel then there will be more calls for them to give out free tests.

the company has said what it feels the future covid income will be - i think we should believe them

my guess was the fact that bio were actively increasing their stake. there was certainly nothing in the april presentation to warrant buying as confirmed by today
was the rns a surprise - no. but that does not mean it was expected. we have all been holding out in hope they are "doing something in the background"...whatever it is - it hasn't been selling

I am really bemused by the timing of today's rns - previous update was 3 weeks after year end and last year it was August....maybe they wanted it long out of the way before AGM? but after bio selling this was the last thing we needed in these dodgy market times
it is hard to know if complete incompetence at read the market...or just don't care...or some ulterior motive

just wished Mr salad had spent the day walking around doing "time and motion" or googling his mates on linkedin instead

The issue I think is that the salad maister treats everything Like a job interview...say all the right sound bites and marketing glossary ...whereas the reality of being able to produce the goods is a different thing.

Salad had a 100 day walkabout to critique the company and enable a future vision to be shared in April. Nothing. So what was he doing?

Salad knew SH want to hear a three figure million
pound projected revenue..so he gave it.
What was announced in April will not produce this...so either he has held back or it was word salad again...neither a good look

I still suspect that they lost interest after the April presentation ..all word salad and no substantial meat on the bones . Da is a joke

it is under cash because the salad man talks a good game but has clearly no idea what to do as a CEO - it is his first time? - apart from feed yourself from the trough.

if they were to sell all in one go they would crash the price which would not help them realise their initial investment. my fear is that they will sell bit by bit

the update is not pretty reading. I still think we have a good chance of winning dhsc dispute but that looks increasingly like the most positive thing going.

so they will now be making a loss - word salad man needs to go. No point talking of £100m when you don't seem to have any concrete idea of how to achieve it

wilson - i don't like to tempt fate but i feel ncyt have a very good case against DHSC. if it goes to a commercial court - and my experience before had a great judge full of common sense and not influenced by the bully boys - i think we stand a very good chance.
the issue is that we could easily have a 6 month wait. wtf is salad man doing in the meantime?

We know from experience that odx is a leaky ship..so yes I would suspect the price will out.
If it a good price would not be surprised to see some buys from those in the know.

I would suggest now is the time to buy if you want to stand a chance as the waters could get very muddied nearer the announcement . Let's assume we are at rock bottom now.

I would just be realistic I terms of market cap now and decide what price odx will get and translate that to market cap and sp

Eg today is £7.5 m ..if I thought they would get £3m then you are looking at a potential price of 4-4.5 p ish. ..don't have a calculator handy

The danger is if gets pumped before ..people might get excited and pile in at 4.5p then get stuck in or lose if it's less than £3m

Unlikely to hear anything on gov dispute before sale price is announced.

Also to be noted from my oily experiences ..that sometimes just before news the price went in opposite direction ...so just be careful

caley - i think there is the possibility of a decent trade from this price because when the rns drops if the price is good then there could a bit of a spike at the very least. the trouble is i think some people are expecting too much for a test that has not proved profitable. sure odx are pretty dire at selling anything - but even the new company want to do a DD. odx hardly have a history of driving a hard bargain or getting a decent contract

i won't be trading as i have decided not to trade shares i would not be comfortable holding long term....just in case the price is lower than expected / hoped for
but if you are a LTH and a believer maybe you should think of topping up?
