byp - it is a fair point

byp - my feeling and it is only that is due to the fact that they are known for aggressively targeting companies and buying substantial amounts eg 20%.
during february and march this seemed to fit the MO - inspite of the ukrainian invasion. since then - and i might add the hugely disappointing presentation in april- there has been no more transactions. the price did collapse fairly recently and would have been the perfect time to buy more if you had intention.

I just fear that they were as disappointed as i - and the market going by sp action - in the verbose non substantial presentation.

just posted and saw rns - thought - i bet that's egg on my face with an rns from bio!
for the record i am not saying decent buys yesterday were not bio - but i certainly dont want to raise expectations especially when it seems doubtful to me

looking at the past rns there increases were 750k and 1m shares. Now granted this may not have been completed in a whole transaction. there would be pros and cons to both buying in one or in several transactions

however i really don't think that you can assume that the decent size buys eg. of 150k shares were all or partly made by bio. Suggesting that 3 buys over 2 indices were all the same buyer is a huge extrapolation in my view. could be just a couple of wealthy PIs in france and one in uk

personally i fear bio were put off by something - it has been quite a while since they last notified.

val - how do you know they were all by the same buyer? the fact that they are over 2 indices would suggest different buyers.

look if they were buyers then that is always good news - even though the SP did not really react.

just don't think it is healthy to put 2 + 2 and make 5. I really don't think it was bio - they were decent but not large buys - and we don't want to raise expectations. and then be disappointed with no RNS

byp - presumably bio would buy on euronext? so 150k shares still seems far too low for bio in my opinion

their 2 previous buys were in the magnitude of 1m and 750,000 shares

byp - yes was just going by opening post ...how much were the large buys for on euronext?

caley - i totally agree it would be a good overview of the health of the company.

however i suspect odx would argue they don't believe it would be price sensitive - which is key

lets face it - if it suited them they would release the news eg if they could do another placing they would be defo saying oh we didn't get overdraft extended so we are vulnerable to cash flow problems etc. etc

however they would seem to have secured their salary for a bit - and can't place - so don't hold your breath in my opinion

caley - i doubt they have breached rule 11. i don't know of any companies who would rns their overdraft facility. it is also a quite a big assumption that it would influence the SP. firstly i am not sure how much more it can drop from that news? and i doubt it would give any meaningful rise

obviously some on here scrutinise the company quite deeply - and there is a relevance for us because we can try to extrapolate the condition of the company from the offer of an overdraft or not.

£50k is hardly a big buy - i am sure a few of us on here have bought similar amounts
£160k in my opinion is not big enough for bio.

more extrapolation to the nth degree in the absence of anything concrete from ncyt itself....

As for when people buy that can be down to anything eg funds available - not necessarily an indication of any "knowledge"

the sp will only increase significantly and hold gains when the market understands what products will be selling and a more accurate indication of how much revenue they can expect ..over to you "word salad man"

There is a distinct possibility that odx will lose their overdraft.
Personally I doubt they will inform the market either way .

If it is renewed then we will hear about it in an operational update is my suspicion.
If it is removed then it will prob not be mentioned as it would not send a good message out.

I am not convinced they have to notify by rns..although it is quite important in the big scheme of things ..I suspect they can get away with not disclosing

The issue is there is no guarantee that they will be able to make money in their next target market..USA

Yes they may get some cash from cd4...and some other bits and pieces. They may even escape having to pay back dhsc...but then what..? Just pays the wages for another year of potential failure?

Caley...I agree. We fell for the " oh they must surely be producing and selling something " before. It was just a lot of wages on staff. Cd4 is loss making and that is the bottom line. If it wee turning a profit then it would not be being sold

Track suit king has been a failure in every position he has been shuffled to at odx and there has been a few. He is obviously not CEO material and one has to question the motive for his promotion.

Union...sentiment and just natural market "waves" might give a rise but it won't be sustained unless some actual good news.

Cd4 has cost almost £600k since placing. So already a big chunk has been frittered and needs to be got back from the actual sale. Just to get back to where we were.

Meanwhile no big news on food intolerance .so no big contracts been achieved since the track suit king aka another failed salesman took over .. ...that is what is needed and soon.

Any gains odx get from sales or disputes etc will not last long otherwise..soon to be frittered in bod and employee wages of a company that can't survive without placings after 30 years

the abdx rns was the cause of the rise in odx sp today. nothing odx has or are doing

any sign of the gov losing its battles with covid companies gives the others a little boost

they can run the business at the moment with seemingly minimal impact - so plenty of time to wait and see. they always have that option in reserve
