Net zero has died as of yesterday. In case you haven't noticed, Bill Gates has effectively scrapped it. No one will pay politicians to parrot that nonsense anymore and it's safely off the political agenda.

I bought in yesterday with 22k shares at 374p. That's almost half the broker consensus. Clearly underpriced imo. In the absence of unexpectedly bad news this should rebound to 450-500p at the next corporate update.

It must be the banks. Navitas waiting for the "international bank" to greenlight the finance.

First PR, then internal politics, then government and geopolitics, then net zero lunacy, then risk, then capex, then DEI, and finally project metrics.

I have seen ridiculous acquisitions done just because they somehow aligned all those ducks. Fulcrum BioEnergy, Green Biofuels Ltd etc.

No of course it's not too late to get in. I said the same to some first timer on this BB at 60p.

Depends why you want to invest but there's obvious value in the current SP no matter what you want to achieve.

- Buy now, sell on the day of the FID news somewhere in the 15-20% spike (but the spike will IMO give way to a retreat as too many people are in this wagon)

- Hold during the FID news bonanza and the ensuing SP volatility. 2-3 more months. Sell when brokers have re-rated upwards and Institutionals buy their chunks. This way you'll be able to pick your exit in the 150-200p range.

- Buy and hold for good. Collect dividends. I for one am in this camp and plan to keep buying if I can at every -5% SP retreat. Done a few like that already this year. Also I'm human and will be tempted to sell some at every 10%+ daily spike (on news of significant milestones achieved on the way to first oil.)

Looks like goodbye to low-60s in oil prices as well.. With Trump's Rosneft and Lukoil sanctions, India (reliance) 1.5mn bpd, and now reportedly also China up to 2m bpd previously bought from the Russians will now have to find supply in the OPEC minus Russia market. OPEC of course were quick to announce they are ''ready to fill the supply gap'' but in oil market talk what that really means is they won't up the supply at all and will gladly keep Brent in the $65-70 range...

The decision must have been made a while back. Assuming this is the case, the sole consideration is the timing the announcement. In their place I'd announce the Sea Lion FID on the 27th October and keep it separate from the upcoming GM agenda.

As for RKH and the oil sector in general, I am glad that there are sufficient useful iddy.ots out there to create a PR atmosphere where oil majors feel forced to scale down their production. This is one of the main reasons I am so heavily invested in RKH. Its physical distance from potential western interference; the FIG being legally independent to exploit their economic resources; the operator being an Israeli company (as opposed to being from a liberal western nation in decline); Argentina's good political relations with Israel; and drill baby drill Trump in power..... Excellent mix in the right place at the right time. And absolutely insulated from climate loons' influence.

Quality post Croft thank you. For my part I’d been looking at Happy’s posts as a healthy dose of negativity, balancing my otherwise overly optimistic view of RKH. But today he crossed that line and went straight into Garbled territory. Hence many new green lines in my feed now. But again, thank you for a very informative retort there.

Someone yesterday talked about 75p as a resistance level. I believe that resistance is now gone. Hopefully we close the day near 80p and continue this trend on Thursday. If we close this week in the 80s (even in the absence of any news) then the next +RNS should propel us to 90p…

If the US/China rhetoric eases and the Brent price stabilises, and especially with good news from FIG this Thursday, 85p seems like an easy target to me!
