There is more uncertainty out there at present than normal

Okay Harmonica, so there seems quite a grey area because on one hand Reeves can argue that any internet job (commodity trading) can be done anywhere in the World where there's internet, but on the other hand there can be vital experienced traders resident outside the UK supporting the argument that such work would not be done as well in the UK.

Anyway, looks like this is another strong argument to support both BP and SHELL exiting the UK as their tax residence. I figure that Reeves very much realises the latter probability/possibility, but is desperate and focuses on surviving for the next 12 months !!

Clued - if you’re interested to learn more about the buying and selling of a company / assets, then try searching the web on terms like “asset or share purchase” and “sale and purchase agreement” and then follow whatever rabbit hole you care to dive down. I’ve not looked at the Kenya situation but am guessing it was a share purchase. Also bear in mind that there could be statute that requires the landholder to pay for environmental clean up even if the current owner did not cause the pollution. Personally, I haven’t got a clue on Kenyan law!
