Arbuthnot Share Price (ARBB)

The PER is 8 and the yield 6.2%, which seems very attractive, but the slipping share price has seen Stockopedia reclassify this from a positive "contrarian" position to a negative "value trap". I hold what is for me a sizable chunk here, but alas I think they may be right for now. Give it a couple of years though, and this should turn again. I am happy to add again sub-800. In the meantime, please enjoy the dividend (which pays my rates!)

Well the recent £2.5m directors buy might suggest it's worth more

In the usual biannual post divi doldrums here; a secure 5% plus is nowt to be sniffed at though, and who knows what's in the pipeline to shift this over the 10 quid mark. Anyway, that last bit's pure wishful thinking and not fact but what fun to dream - plenty of those as this stock gives no sleepless nights. GL holders, spectators

Not owned a share with so little activity just a few traders a day, but is stable, bit like putting your money in the bank account and getting the interest 6% brilliant.

He does buy shares on a regular basis, but this is a large purchase even for him!
