Hedging my bets and sold 50% this morning

happy with the profit made, timely exit and bought back into RR .

Selling all mine was a very easy decision. Having made 50% (£85k), the thought of making another 20% if it goes for £7 had less of a pull on me than the horror at the thought of losing a big chunk of my profits. It if goes for £8 then I'll have a brief moment of sadness but it won't last. I've very happily taken profits and now I'm hoping defence stocks pick up some of their recent losses

I’m quietly hopeful. If it was an outright no, it would have been announced. SP is reflecting stability and support (from somewhere).

That this has dragged on suggests to me that behind the scenes, this is leaning toward negotiation of the finer detail of the offer. There may be some red lines, but the time taken usually is around moving the line on softer issues. That Easy offered up an extension spoke volumes here. I’m getting increasingly confident we will see another extension (v good sign) or a full and final by the Sunday deadline. So, published either after market close Friday or before open Monday.

700-725p is my guesstimate. Can’t see below 700p, some small chance it’s above 725p. Today’s mail article again indicates to me that media is being engaged to shuffle on discussions and negotiation, which is a sign that the board will back up any offer once the red lines are sorted and the softer lines are positioned

In other words, for people still in, this is now a bet on a bid agreed, leading the SP to 680-700, or rejected, leading the SP back to 480-500. My expectations on the numbers, but the nature of the bet is clear. I also agree the announcement, when it comes, will simply state yes or no. No more games. This is it.
