Im quietly confident this deal is happening. The share is too stable around 500p. Today has been very quiet trading, with volumes well down, but does seem as though someone or something is maintaining the SP bang on 500p a share.

And Barclays RNS - Net Long £3.1M yesterday once you tot up cost of purchases and sales. Grew their long position by 612K shares. Interesting as they are holding more short shares than Long currently

BMP Parabaaaaas have called their hand in RNS from yesterday. BIIIG options taken with bracket from 4.84 (I expect they see the SP settle below this if no deal) with options to buy ABOVE 5.68... So I expect they are expecting an offer in above this level. They may have picked these levels due to options pricing, but again, fascinating to see how the institutions play. This is a straight on bet for them - the deal is atomic - it will happen, or it wont, and there will be considerable SP movement in either direction if it does. They obviously found an Options trader that was willing to issue contracts at a reasonable price that will hugely benefit them if the deal goes through. The RNS in question has just landed.

Sorry, you are wrong Patsy. The current AIRCRAFT ALONE are worth more than the market cap. Add in the net cash position. Gatwick slots sale would raise over 1 billion FOR ONE BASE. The Easyjet holidays business is now an increasing success. All of this stacks up towards a company whose net worth is around Euro 9 billion. Compare that to the current market cap, take off 30% and then divide by the number of shares in issuance. you will see then what the share price will be bid at. and MSC have the wonga to do that. Stelios isnt going to accept chicken feed bids with the future UK and EU/Eurocontrol and ICAO forecasts of travel growth in both the leisure and EU shorthaul market places.

FWIW, 700-800p is what ive calculated as offering a 30% premium on the NAV. If we looking at a no opposition Sell to break up and the takeover firm were looking at no profit, you would be looking at 900-1050p a share, based on Aircraft, slots, and the holibob business.

The reason the SP is dipping is because retail have the patience of a child with ADHD and if the SP isnt going their way and there is a lack of information, they bottle it and sell.

Then kick themselves when they realise the dip that is completely predictable is playing into the hands of the conglomerate that can save literally tens of millions in bid for every 100 point drop in the Share price. All the evidence is pointing towards a successful bid. Im not selling; this will pop as soon as a bid is announced. Is it guaranteed? No. However, I think there is more upside * probability it will happen vs opportunity cost to bail now and regret later.
