i’m indian and not seen a single ****** comment - if anything we should be angry he picked a religious company name and is acting with no morals or respect for humans
i’ve been silent up to now but i feel that i now absolutely must say that racism and sexism has become totally toxic on this board. this hatefull ****** and sexist treatment of the poddars has reached a level that is not acceptable in anyone’s book or language. it’s unprecedented and way over the line.
the family has made mistakes yes, but i think some members on here need to take a look in the mirror and ask themselves the question “would i be spewing this vitriol to a european?” also, on the subject of good in madagascar, the community has benefited with infrastructure and housing to the greater good. it is also undeniable that shishir is the greatest talent in the mining sector in designing production equipment and integrating them in plants. finally, tgr is literally fighting for its life. ask yourself this..could anyone else still come out fighting tooth and nail on monday in the face of all this abuse? the answer is yes because they have the passion and belief in themselves and tgr
Please post this alleged video prior to the vote. If this is true fair play for doing that, it has been on my mind for months to actually just go out there and see for myself.
Do you have a timeframe for when the video will be YouTubed?
Great news everyone who is a real TGR investor!!! I've been given clearance to publicly announce 2 of our tgr shareholder group are on their way back from madagascar where they filmed interviews with employees at both plants and also collected video footage of the land, the plants, and the graphite storage etc, including tonnage and to an extent, numbers etc. They also travelled to the Port on the East coast where the graphite is being shipped abroad and interviewed staff in order to gain vital info on tgr/pranagraf graphite tonnage amounts over a long time period and also the destinations of the graphite etc. We initially looked into hiring small film crew though this was very expensive so we got the next best thing as both of our guys are well involved in the media and are also long suffering tgr shareholders. This meant they were not taking no for an answer and had to push and push before finally getting answers to vital questions. We're having a group meeting on Saturday afternoon to get the lowdown on the trip and the interviews etc and to watch the raw video footage which our lawyers themselves suggested we obtain so we can compare the truth with what shishir has publicly reported over the last many months. This has been a long time coming and I personally cannot wait to see this footage along with the interviews and especially want to crunch the numbers. Once it has all been collated, edited and registered it will be used as evidence in court and also be posted on youtube for all to see. As yet I don't know how much the reality differs from what shishir has claimed this last year and a half but I have been advised the footage will utterly shock us all. In particular the graphite tonnage numbers along with the same Indian destination the majority of the graphite has been and is still being sent to. We even have the last shipment amount, date it was sent, and destination address. There is also specific employee interviews who have a lot to say regarding how the graphite is collected, separated and stored and also the way they themselves have been treated regarding salaries etc. They do not have any positive words to say about either shishir or puruvi. Aparently puruvi was out there last year showing some people the facilities and while was there she walked around as though she was some kind of royalty expecting the employees to bow before her. The law is closing in on the poddars. This is long overdue IOHO. Dyor
This is just a company with no options.
CEO underperformed
The other group have no experience.
Like deciding which blind man to steer the ship.
Maybe just focus on stocks without such horrible issues.
If the CEO had any positive news he would have laid out a firm plan
A total shambles made worse (didn’t think that was possible), will attend the Q&A but this is looking like administration
That's pretty much my view mhow.
I've not been impressed by current boards actions but feel we have a better chance of success staying as is and progressing than bring in Leo etc.
The company doesn't appear in a good way right now and I feel rocking it more wont help, but maybe the FT group will have helped simply by giving the current board a wake up call that they have to do more.
I also think there is some who simply want revenge on Shirshir and as such are hijacking the FT groups proposal simply to get one over Shirshir and get him booted so they can enact revenge.
I'd be amazing if the FT group can win simply due to the numbers, but if they do, fairplay as that would be a very well pulled off move
Your Broker should have advised. II advised me this morning.
You can Vote online or attend the GM and vote in person.
How do you vote?
The Proposal form on ii is set out in the same format!
It'll be interesting to see the result of the GM, I've decided to vote against the requisition group. Objectively, had it been Murat & Isabel in isolation having served as NEDs, both resigned and having seen the inner workings of the company, I think the majority of shareholders, me included, based on share price and company performance would have voted for them.
However, the other two proposed directors, Rollins & Koot, their past activity does not signal a good outcome for investors. As it is, I (and likely many other long-term posters) are sitting on a significant loss - currently, no outcome looks like a good one. But when I weigh it up, what gives the better chance of keeping the business afloat - the requisition group have given no indication on how they will plug the working capital gap, or how they propose to solve the fundraising issue. It's all well and good getting the governance sorted, but it's a lot of salaries to be paid and still without the cash to do so
Hopefully the investor meet next week will see Shishir tackle every question head on and not cherry pick as has been the case with previous IMs
One thing I've noticed on the BB recently is there is obviously people from both sides posting to try and influence and sway opinion. The black and white for me was I felt the requisition response was pretty fair and it's a case now to back whichever group can deliver on the funding.
Roberto not familiar with the cases you state. They do emphase how poor regulation has become. Time was when SFA would have been crawling all over these individuals. Afraid it does seem a level of dishonesty has permiated Society generally.
What is my agenda as you see it? Please tell.
This comment made me post as one of the people effected by their previous dealings and for the record of vote against the resolutions without a question as a result. Fairdealer tell me:
Was Mark Rollins punished or made to face any consequences or reckoning after Advanced Energy raised over £20m from shareholders and investors and burnt through it all, writing it all off within 12 months, while pocketing over $400k for himself? That’s what happened it’s public record.
And after that? Well they rebranded, repackaged, kept on the questionable broker Optiva, and came up with Beacon Energy and as has already been covered by others invited his pal Leo Koot to join the Board of Beacon on which they both currently sit. No consequences.
Disgusting hypocrisy (assuming you’re aware of all the above) but your agenda is clear having read your posts.
A common mistake but TGR isn’t on AIM.
Gallmat, am sure the advise is well intended, however do you or anyone countenance Directors of a Company being allowed to get away with bad management and worse? There are mechanisms to remove Directors.
There are too many AIM co's who do what they like and little Regulation. It is no wonder the London Market is losing Listings
As in Investor in unlisted SME's am very aware of the risks. Shareholders, large and small should not allow unscrupulous
Directors to continue unpunished.
Move on then. There are a few spamming this forum making it hard to follow genuine conversations
Weirdly when voting on IG it is says the boards recommendation is to vote in favour of all actions i.e. removing Shishir and Poddar as well as appointing the new directors. must be an error Surely?
The company has no plan. Move on.
I took a big hit selling earlier.
There are other opportunities out there.
It is the Board's obligation to take action against contractors/suppliers, where breach of Agreements, Confidentiallity, Conflict of Interests etc occur. Rarely an easy task, it's get very expensive as Lawyers will argue until the Cows come home.
In TGR's situation from what we know and reading between the lines, Counter claims would be created.
It is clear Shishir is not going to go quietly, can hope he has "the conversion of Paul". It is a hope.
A Q&A session is all very well, imo, it signals another desparate throw of the dice. Meanwhile the Compnay's creditabilty suffers.
Suggestion that there is a Conspiracy at work, think again. Too many issues/events in the past year, cannot all be wrong.
It seems to have escaped many that the Company had a Joint Broker, Shard, who walked away in January leaving Optiva.
Does anyone have any more info regarding Optiva? The Freetirupati group have rather predictably ran with the news, not a great look that is for sure. Even though it looks as if Optiva are having issues / under investigation??
Glad to see there’s a Q&A meeting soon with the current board.
I’m very concerned what’s been happening behind the scenes given information that keeps on coming about and has been alluded to. It does feel and I increasingly am thinking that there’s been a prolonged concerted effort against the company from multiple connected quarters and apparent conflicts etc, and if there has been, is there scope for shareholders to take action against those who have caused losses incurred for the rest of us as a result of all this mess?
Also wondering if it is still possible for some compromise before the GM or does the GM just proceed regardless?
So many questions
That would be a good idea generally. Just that the emerging producers aren’t being able to produce, and the ones who are, are doing it at massive costs.
To get out of this mess.
Offer 30pct of the business to another emerging graphite producer and let them have some operational control. Blackrock or walkabout.
But the CEO cannot stand loosing control and because of this he will destroy everything.
There must be a risk to Optiva's business that they will lose more corporate clients as their clients need to do placings and if Optiva can't do that the client has to go elsewhere to brokers like CMC Markets who can do quick discounted placings.
Would normally be a good thing before the vote but you know Shishir will find a way to mess it up
