Fortissimo - it is you who is behind the curve.
The critical difference is that Nick was in charge when the Franco financing was done. Now we're led by the "friend of BHP" Cazzubbo.
There's less than zero chance of a streaming deal with Boliden. And that's probably now a bad outcome.
Kat2008 is probably not the best a million miles away from the truth. This could well be an opportunity for a major shareholder to consolidate and strike.
As I said yesterday - 40-50p. Msthersfinger - forget your £1.70 mate. Not a hope of half that.
RNS was posted at 7:47, I would have thought this should and could have been posted at 7:00. !
Personally I think if Nm had been in charge and the bigger players would not partake in the raise at his price he would have gone and got the finance somewhere else like he did with Franco whereas this seems to be a lightly veiled threat that if you dont get close to our suggested raise sp we might go somewhere else..probably wrong but that was the feeling i got when saw the announcement
Executive corruption. Rings a bell?
Will we see Twiggy arrive next few weeks. He loves an arm wrestle with BHP....
I think the RNS is very informative.
It says amongst other things that we are raising money for the DFS.
We wouldn't be doing this if a bid was forthcoming.
We are doing this as we are carrying on with the journey to production.
redknight1 and quady thanks for that clarification. it is all further confused for me by this mornings RNS . One thing though seems clear to me that Solgold is not going to make me rich not at least in the near future. May be I should sell Solgold and buy BHP Lol World class frustration has gone hand in hand with world class discovery
As someone said to me earlier ... its almost as f Darryl is trashing the price for BHP
OR
They have agreed a placing price and have done this so it doesn't appear so onerous
Haven't bought an more yet ..... but not sold any either ..... can't get my head round this and why they would warn of an imminent potential equity raise .... self fulfilling prophecy
Other than serving as a heads-up, this was an utterly pointless RNS. They've never issued anything similar prior to previous cash calls and I really do wonder why they did so this time.
Sell it all they can't manage a kinda garden these lot no excuse dragging this on for this long and corruption thrown in an seriously considering selling up and moving on her now
This is what you get when a London listed company goes Brisbane centric and the new CEO doesn't have the first idea how to manage London markets and expectations...
I'm still of the view that the CEO appointment took so long because Nick vetoed the other candidates in favour of one of his Brisbane 'mates'...
Moran ?
""meaty, substantiated drilling news"
There isn't any Lunch...which is part of the problem...
Porvenir next cab
Helipuerto comen g along soon...
No drilling results elsewhere...is that because of this clear focus or lack of cash?
COVID tis no longer an excuse for not drilling...
Lots of unnecessary flapping today.
BID tomorrow?
Onwards and up hopefully of an a trip now but sadly looking for a exit
Lunchmoney I feel 800 emplyes is a massive work force you would struggle to keep hidden what they do.
If there's nothing worth writing about in a rns that's alarm bells right there
My frustration today comes from the fact we knew
Needed funds just after Christmas and we have waited till the cuboad is bair before we ask
Not the position of strength we could of had
Please don't tell me management where on a promise that didn't pan out that would be an absolute school boy error
Just had a quick look, where is the change in strategy or corporate action?
kat2008, are you aware that Franco Nevada funded SOLG $100m for a 0.5% royalty (or 1%) and BHP and NCM were shunned when wanting to get a cheap equity placing?
You aware that Boliden have done a site survey some months ago are you not?
I suspect a repeat of last large funding is likely. Boliden to take 1% royalty and hand over $100m and then $40m raised via shareholders for regionals. It worked out fine last time around but BHP and NCM were not happy, but 70%+ of shareholders were so it's the majority that counts. You need to do some deeper research as you are behind the curve.
The extent as to which this company has lost it's direction is staggering.
It's like Forrest Gump crossed with Being There.
Good to see Cascabel going to production, Where is Nick Mather?
Fortissiom
Why the attack rather than a reasoned argument. I respect your views as much as anyone.
I have not knee jerked into this.
Remember I've drafted and published RNSs and read thousands.
In my opinion they are throwing in all the currently known information, but we should instead have had a carefully managed flow of drill results to keep people hungry.
This RNS nakedly says "we need the money...all at once..."
But at what price...and if the City rumours are true, who led the failed raise and why did Peel Hunt go.
Fortissimo. Of course it's not in the interests of all shareholders, namely is. That's the point. For every winner, there has to be losers. No value is created in a financing, just a shift in power. You are FAR too optimistic, to the point of delusion, if you think that Boliden or someone else, or a fundraiser at 32p or 36p is forthcoming. Go look up the term MOPE ( Management of Perception Economics ) otherwise known as spin, if you remember the Blair govt term. This is laying the ground for a lowball funding by BHP, the reasoning being that SOLG warned you about this and you could/should have sold out when the news hit. Only yourself to blame. 20p raise, BHP up to 30% and a bid in the pipeline, all managerial technocrats move on with bulging pockets, a recommendation from the Old Boys' Network and a promotion to their next victim. Don't hate the player, hate the game..........
Paddling our own canoe is getting us nowhere…. Our board need to grow a brain, accept reality and get it sold or joint ventured… stop with the delusions of grandeur
Lunchmoney I don't realy think you can claimed the pfs dedline was early that is just pure spin
It was actually a year over due.
If we are concentrating on cascabel we don't need
800 emplyes doing nothing
I'm all for helping Equidorins improve there quality of life but it's not a free lunch on me
And yes sadly and before anyone says it if you don't like it sell your shares
I will be if I can servie one mor pump into the early 30s I'm gonna
It’s Standard Solgold protocol…. Why do a raise at recent mid 30s, when you can give the markets silence, and wait for the price to slide back to mid 20s before doing one…. It’s a mad logic, but one our board have repeated.
Anyone with a brain knew we were needing to raise funds… so that in itself it’s not new news, what is disappointing is the clear sense of no new innovative monetising event other than an equity raise…
