Before Norilsk became the world's largest nickel sulphide district, it was simply a remote volcanic province in one of the world's harshest regions. Geologists recognised the right ingredients, but the true scale was only revealed once drilling began.

Today, Disko-Nuussuaq in Greenland displays many of those same geological hallmarks.

The project hosts nickel, copper, cobalt and PGE mineralisation within a vast magmatic system. The famous 28-tonne massive sulphide boulder, grading almost 7% nickel alongside significant copper, cobalt and platinum group metals, remains compelling evidence that a substantial sulphide source exists somewhere within the district.

Importantly, each major exploration programme has expanded rather than diminished the opportunity. More than twenty drill-ready targets had already been identified by 2019, with further targets added and refined. The extensive 2022 programme generated new conductors, additional priority targets and one of the largest geophysical datasets ever assembled over the project area.

No one can claim Disko will become another Norilsk. Such comparisons should always be treated cautiously. Yet Norilsk itself was discovered because explorers followed evidence of a fertile magmatic system capable of hosting world-class nickel sulphide deposits.

That is precisely what the current drill programme is attempting to prove at Disko.

As history has repeatedly shown, fortunes in mining are often made not when the discovery is announced, but when investors recognise the significance of the clues before the drill bit arrives.

Initial assays due in late August / early September - exciting times.

I disagree buzz. Disko has the potential to be an absolute monster resource.

I could not find any info regarding number of rigs. However, even for 5000m you would expect two rigs.

IMO is initial results are positive they will bring in a third rig to help move the subject forward.

I have been scouring Industrial estates up and down the country trying to find a fully operational factory / facility, which is not actually operating.

Unfortunately, I have been unable to do so.

Set aside your car, which we know is 'operational but not actually operating' (what a bizarre statement), can you please point me towards a non-operating fully operational production facility?

Once I receive the details, I will send them an email (translated if required) & if no reply within 10 day's it will confirm they could not possibly be operating!!

Correction to my post from last night..

'Has a 30% stake in an Oil prospect which has a 90% chance of discovering 1 million barrels of oil or more / 50% chance of 45 million barrels of oil and 10% chance of discovering 1.3 billion barrels of oil.'

It should read: 90% chance (P90) of discovering over 1 billion barrels / 50% chance (P50) of discovering over 4 billion barrels / 10% chance (P10) of discovering over 13 billion barrels.

Billions more reasons to be cheerful :-)
