I spend 10 months a year living in the shadows of the Barclays tower at Canary wharf..... Its pretty grim on days like today... makes the rain in Ullswater a paradise.
nonsense - grew up there but now live in a big city and realise just how amazing it is year round, just put a thick coat and decent set of boots on yer feet and then get a nice warm pint of Cumberland on the way home (none of that Yorkshire rubbish thank you very much!).
I am surprised solgold not released any news re merger maybe they have indeed got more to put in than cgp last night
Orthencopper ,not in the winter ,I live round the corner
Red... 'But we will surely get some sort of drill news sooner or later '
If there was any drill news worth releasing it would have happened by now.... they clearly have no drill news... or nothing worthy of a release. People cling to the idea of Solg maybe holding back on drilling news that will support the price, like a comfort blanket.. Solg have never held back good drill results... ever.... only poor drill results.
get over to Ullswater.... beautiful place!
Lol Q …. I think he’s over on ADVFN….. you seem obsessed with him, I’m sure if you talk about enough he’ll be back ….. then we’ll all have you to thank for that as well….
Sean.... you say “ and hopefully not wasting any money drilling. ” and, as you also point out, we have plenty cash in the bank.
Given that we are, allegedly, an exploration company, which hold numerous time constrained exploration licenses.... doesn’t that worry you?
Whereas DBW you and Slug I imagine as all warm and cozy.
You must be missing your friend and his words of wisdom.
Lol Quady I think you and 1981 probably deserve each other ….. why not get a room ?
The only advice I ever give is never eat the yellow snow.
Ramping won't do any good at this point - we are where we are until a sale transpires.
Definitely not going into production, not looking for a JV and hopefully not wasting any money drilling.
Plenty of cash in the bank. We simply need to hunker down. We can't force a sale but someone will make the first move eventually and all the mousetraps will go off at once.
I see a sale price of 65p, which will do me nicely. But until then it's a holding pattern and we might as well be patient. Now that the merger is approved there is no other big news down the road except a bid . It's not the end quite yet, but in many ways we have come to the end of the road in terms of the SOLG journey.
Seanhunter try reading the posts of Copperpot, 198Investor or ToS1963 you cannot help but see these guys know what they are talking about.
They don't agree with me but their posts are of interest.
Now read redknights posts and work out for yourself who has called this share right.
I called Redknight out a long time ago because he doesn't understand many basics and blusters.
If you remember it was me who said Solgold could raise money without shareholder approval, I just forgot the term cashbox.
However Redknight and the fellow experts here told me I didn't know what I was talking about.
Anyway isn't it time you went back to ADVFN as Slug will be missing you.
That's the sort of insight you only get from working the last 97 years holding 15 incredibly highly important positions that, conveniently, only give you the authority to ramp mindlessly, but don't give burden you with any of the knowledge that prevents you posting demonstrably false conspiracies!!
My personal favourite.....
“ I have observed over time that the SOLG SP is much more correlated with the Gold price than copper”
That’s an absolute belter.
Easy Sean, was that investment guidance?!
I'm good here, thanks sweetheart. Just don't appreciate this thick ramper clogging up the board. If I can get him to take a month or two off, what's left is mostly meaningful discussion.
1981Investor, clearly this is not the share for you.
Good luck with your other, more exciting, investments.
What news? Has there been an RNS? You're only supposed to lick his boots, you've swallowed them to the laces!
Merger is probably good for us - time will tell. No cause to throw support behind a blatant, hopeless ramper like Red though.
And right on que we get one surfacing out of his hole ,always the same when news is about ,you can't make it it !!!
My personal favourite rubbish was when he said drill results would 'keep the pot boiling'... As we sit roughly 40% down on 1 year ago. Stretchy definition of 'boiling', that one..
1981, the bullshyte he dishes up is embarrassing! The laugh of it is....people actually believe the charlatan!
Why would an investor here need to be "brave" (your word) if, in your very own words, we are never going to see 16p again? Even the brainless ramper is forgetting how confident he is supposed to be! I'd say 'you couldn't make it up' but that's literally all Red does, all day, every day. I honestly still think he believes he can influence the share price from this message board, like some kind of have-a-go redditt forum hero. Tool.
It's only my opinion as always Orthern, but I guess those 'in the know' are fully invested and those who haven't heard of us, or who have but have seen the SP fall steadily and languish, are unconvinced...they may well try to jump on the bandwagon when the SP catches fire...
We're still in the post Christmas/New Year hiatus and now that the merger is agreed, there would appear little to look for before it is complete in late January...
But we will surely get some sort of drill news sooner or later to keep the pot boiling...if only on Moran...
I still believe the CGP SOLG stake will be kept in Treasury, either as firepower to support the DGR/CGP 'inner core' wishes and would only be sold to a potential bidder at a tasty price well above 17p, or not at all...
I have observed over time that the SOLG SP is much more correlated with the Gold price than copper, which may well have helped substantiate its rise from 15.66 to 17.92 but sooner or later copper must have an impact, at the very least when the bidding war starts...
For now I congratulate those with the foresight to buy more at 16 or so in the last few days...you wont see that again.
I dont see press articles lighting a fire here because there have been too many false dawns...(biggest takeover story in town...October 2021...) but this time it's for real...a TR1 by a serious player, or the first bid (but then it may be too late)...
Until then no doubt Quady will have a field day as a naysayer, while not very subtly shifting from the 'certainty' of production to "I told you all along a takeover was a possibility"...
Ho hum from a very wet Haweswater, best wishes...
Entertaining last hour
He didn't say that Quady, he said "When the first bid or approach is announced, it may already be too late...especially if the shares get suspended 'pending an announcement'...
And it wont be the results of the strategic review..."
I think he mean't the announcement will be a bid not the outcome of the review.
Didn’t say it was non existent…. Said it was a smokescreen/irrelevant It’s not going to tell us anything we didn’t know and haven’t known for many years …. It’s obvious the board want to get this sold, the only questions that need answering are can they get it sold? and will we get a decent price?
Now stick to the facts and stop telling porkies there’s a good lad/lass ….. I happen to agree with Red that the SR may never see the light of day , if it does it’ll simply be to confirm we are for sale.
If you don’t agree that’s fine but when answering try and keep a civil tongue in your head, that means be polite by the way …
Orthern.......because so few are selling!
