Yes Edison reports are always bullish and should be taken with a pinch of salt. The positive you can take with the report is it mirrors Liberums target of 170p.
To be fair it does say eqs next to it not rns
Reading that RNS didnt seem quite right or is it just me .. ive never seen a RNS Saturday before is this normal ?
Strange to get an rns on a saturday
Buffet not only buys good value, top quality companies and holds them for decades, but he uses leverage to accelerate those profits . It is simply a winning combination. I've only just changed my trading to this new style of thinking. Already up in profits from 85p, and 95p. The difference is I can relax and enjoy the continued rise in the share price with SLP, instead of the stress of buying junk companies that rise one day and than lose all its gains a day or two after, as well as having to contend with random and frequent equity placements causing 50 percent drops in a day.
Next week is shaping up to be a good week reckon. Breakout is close, I can feel it, as well as can see it on the charts. Current base started two weeks ago. A good base lasts for about a month at least, so fingers crossed for a breakout in the next fortnight. Its never set in stone, so could last longer. Next resistance level is 150p. As we are already close to 120p thats not much of a resistance so that can be ignored.
With massive cash flows fattening the coffers, it can only be a matter of time before the price resumes its upward trend. This is where the cheap(good value) and quality comes into the equation.
Massive free cash flow is a correct statement. And a share price target of 175p(1 year ?) is reasonable. Brokers do issue conservative targets so I'm targeting 200p+. I guess you can free valuation reports from brokers these days? Exactly. These things don't come free.
Yeah, his technique was quite simple: asset stripping. Buying a wallet for 50 with a 100 note inside it basically then selling the wallet and keeping the 100. Net nets he learned from Graham and he ploughed through 000s of pages of Moodys looking for those butts until he met Monger, learned to scale, got cheap money from float - GEIKO (no need to borrow) and the rest is history. His letters are well worth the read. And his honesty in admitting his own mistakes is what makes him unique. The legend. As well as the Godfather of investing he is a remarkable person above and beyond that.
Tiger, I didn't! I was busy all day and just hit google and saw £1.10 close and thought wtf!
No big deal, we'll be sailing on through it next week :)
unfortunately correct, never seen anything negative from edison so i just ignore, used to fall for their stuff though
i couldnt post because this site was having login issues but stoodio, cant believe you actually believed that close last night, when its at a price 90% of the day and it drops / rises a lot into the close, not a true close value
Unfortunately not impartial research, it was paid for by Sylvania.
WTF is that spread! Laughable.
:)
The link and commentary below was posted by Joehigashi on the JLP page. It seems to be equally relevant here, so I have copied it across in case it is of interest. Sorry if it is already known and included in earlier posts.

Hydrogen fuel cells, which are catalysed by platinum group metals (PGMs), are electrochemical devices that convert the energy of a chemical reaction directly into electricity, with heat and water as by-products. Platinum and ruthenium PGMs, which are hosted overwhelmingly in South Africa, play large fuel cell roles. Unlike batteries, fuel cells never "run out", the International Platinum Group Metals Association points out on its website. Platinum and iridium PGMs are also key catalysts in electrolysers that generate green hydrogen from green energy sources."
Initiated coverage with buy and share price target of 175p. Citing “massive free cash flow”. They are conservative in dividend forecast but “not surprised by windfall dividends.

Warren Buffett’s Motto
“It’s far better to buy a wonderful company at a fair price, than a fair company at a wonderful price.”
This famous Warren Buffett quote is very interesting, as frequently, “value investors” will pass on anything that they cannot get for a deeply discounted price. It was one of Buffett’s early lessons as a value investor, famously defined by his turn away from “cigar-butt investing.”
“If a business does well, the stock eventually follows.”
Eh yo did we close at £1.10?
Rand has weakened to 15 which improves profits compared to the last quarter.
“Ford declined to give financial guidance for 2022, but Lawler said the company expects the chip shortage to continue into next year and potentially, to a far lesser extent, into 2023. He said Ford expects a 10% increase in wholesale vehicle volumes in 2022 compared with this year, as the semiconductor shortage continues to impact the business.”
Caution... as I was saying... :)
IYKYK ladies :)
Current Market Cap just shy of $300 million.
What happens when that hits half a $Billion?

A little dust and the engine kicks...”

impala in talks to acquire royal bakofeng, creating plat giant
possibly helping us firm while ex div
she should be strong .....The dip was totally expected ex div, but I expect alot more from SLP what a cash cow .... when is that special dividend announced?
To put it in context, cash position in 2020 55.7m, 2021 107m, 1st quarter 2022 130m + ca 50m receivables.
That special Divi will be interesting.
So, who wants to cash-adjust the EV on this one? Do it.
Insanely ridiculous.
That's a strong looking SP if you ask me - today being what it is :)
