I cant think of anything in the mining world or pretty much life in general in terms of deals that takes over a year, unless its some govt signing off approvals and permits. if a deal was great it would be done by now. if someone wants to do something it happens, anything else is for another reason / cold feet. so unless Namibia are holding things up (i very much doubt that) then we are not being told a few details. the only get out of jail card for AV is if the parties are waiting drill results, but then he could say this if true.
how can there be so many interested parties and yet takes this long ? makes no sense. if it was one party and it was a real mexican standoff then yes maybe this long. Either that or he is a terrible deal maker.
of course we all say we are patient because we have no choice apart from taking a loss.
You would think that at least one of the directors would pull him aside and state that you really cant take the approach of doing loads of promotional videos and the odd tweet and then go really quiet, it just doesnt work, especially on AIM where trust is paper thin at best.
too few trades, too little interest and certainly one of the most boring resource stocks around and i think we know the reason why
my latest investment, adriatic, has no comments or very few and i dont really care because the vision is clear, the price speaks for itself and you just go from there.
i also disagree with an earlier post that suggested because we have had no RNS, that means all must be on track. i dont think it quite works like that but happy to be surprised.
and of course we all now expect eye watering. he certainly has boxed himself into a very tight and unneccessary corner (and us btw)
Well, right there observer you have given us more detail than AV ever has.
the kodal deal is really good, no way companies can raise that sort of money that easily, and cash to explore for gold. the ownership part isnt really that relevant.
he def does need to stop doing interviews, they are all the same anyway (same with other ceos), in my experience too many interviews and too much hype building is generally not a good sign.
Around jan 2023 kodal just announced the deal, they didnt say this or that or who they were talking to they just did it (unless i have missed something)
he has really really mishandled this process, the only thing that can save him is truly a kodal style deal or better.
if he is going down the eu route not sure why cant be any better than the chinese
Still doesnt explain the near year long wait, and thats with the help of old mates.
he has given bare minimum details at every update, should easily be at the final couple legal stage by now but get the feeling its going to drag on
Yep, thats for sure, and has been a very opaque journey, and if there was a pull out no way in hell we would know the offer or the details.
so all goes back to this eye watering offer, assuming it was an offer and not some flippant comment in a pub.
kodal tweeted out today from what that board says, lithium demand will treble, but that isnt the issue, its the demand that might be the problem.
Certainly a very very exciting times across almost all commodities, have not been this excited for a few years, its just a case of lighting the blue touch paper, and all of this with sluggish economies and a very high dollar.
the former will prob last but the latter will fall in next year or so.
if we can be self sustaining and making money in tin then thats fine by me rest is massive bonus
Totally agree TDT, having just witnessed shanta's mess (still made 4k) but had to seriously average down to get to that stage
someone (i have them on filter) ACTUALLY said UK mkts are OVER regulated ??????
Well technically kod already have, almost 4x their low to last yrs high, and while both have a clear path, kod's lithium is far purer and an easier timeline, albeit a potentially smaller resource (though will prob be nearer 50mt in the summer).
kod has a far bigger draw from prem, as people def switch there, not sure if anyone is doing the switching with kod, if they were we would move far faster as kod has huge following and a decent amount of investor money.
i own both but dont like the lithium dream so conflicted a bit
I think we've had far too many carrots from AV, this is well well overdue.
i'm sure the next update will just be that things are progressing well still talking to partners etc.
ridiculous all in all.
in the meantime, shifted my shanta gold money (there must be a few others on here in same boat) into my new goldy, Galiano, which i'm extremely pleased about so can let AV do his thing, I think June earliest the way he moves.
Are you suggesting tin ISAs are the latest thing nesty ? not heard of that.
with todays miss on US CPI resulting a much stronger dollar lkets see what commods do, they have largely decoupled for the last month lets hope it continues, but think US inflation and other inflation incl ours is going higher.
difficult time for govts and central banks but have no sympathy its their own fault
