And there are so many gold companies with cash (gold fields / galiano springs to mind) that could easily easily snap this up.

GGG, since the share register lumps all significants together (totalling 57% from memory) and 2 of those are hargreaves and ii, i dont see how you get 40% in private hands.

having said that really not sure where the other 43% comes from either (lots and lots of tiny funds < 3% ?)

if it was PIs and holding 40% this wouldnt have a cats chance in hell but dont think it is quite as clear as that

If you have a certain point off view and want to join dots a certain way there are some similarities to shanta for this stock as well as many other reasons for the way it is trading.

Cant believe some people on here are still giving this board the benefit of the doubt, you dont gamble in this way to flush out offers as we were in a fantatstic cash making position, so there is just no need. there are tons of undervalued companies out there and they normally do buybacks

it is very clear what is going on here, if it was a straight up good offer the board / eric could address it on numerous platforms but he isnt is he.

to find a ceo for an about to be profitable gold produer should have been a walk in the park, even if they moved on from a proper bid you would still get a nice payout.

Its really a management buyout not a takeover, i dont see how the rules can allow insiders to do this especially having operational knowledge and where is the management approval / disapproval ?

i thought all takeovers had to reccommended / rejected by the management (ie eric) ?

other gold companies know the sector and wouldnt act like this and would prefer first mover advantage

also the loss (done already) of reputation is massive and wont be good if voted down which it hopefully will be.
