Tiredhands ref17.44 post These days the lead contractor does not build all of a ship. In factb I believe that Appledore hasbeen sub contracted to do parts for the T26 as well.
Evidently T26 not entirely built by BAE...

Bubble2021 ref 14.46 post that is not going to happen HMS Belfast is part of the City Class of frigates which are being built by BAe.
HMS BELFAST , typo apologies
HM BELFAST would be a nice contract to win aswell
Yes stokey we shall mind the fort while you're away !
The addition of a 4th ship to the FSS contract could be a consideration and make things interesting
in light of leveling up and increased spend.
Just seen this I am not sure if it has been posted on here before https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7188563428062474240/ The comment from Paul Bayley is interesting and I agree with him. The text of the post is.

📢 Defence Spending Increase: Our reaction
"The unexpected formal commitment of an additional £75 billion for Defence spending by the Prime Minister today is one that industry and MoD welcome. As our world gets increasingly more dangerous, this unprecedented commitment to ensuring our collective security and the livelihoods of many throughout our country is necessary to our collective economic, social and national advantage.
Industry awaits confirmation of where this spending will be focussed - and the opportunities for our members and sector which provides some £9.8 billion in value add to our economy each year. Of course, the true value of our sector - providing our safety, security and way of life - is not one that can really be economically quantified."

I see JW is not doing this one.
Scaffman forward planning me thinks
No idea , very expensive kit that's customised, hence long lead time. The yards will be unrecognisable by the time FSS production starts.
Nice one K
Wonder will there be 1 dispatched to each yard; and then 3 in Belfast for the FSS
Excellent find there kaeren 👍
Investment in the yards continues .

The futures bright for harl !!
Well done Natasha 👍
Port documents now show her leaving at 16.00 on the 5th May - no reason given for delay
Also show she is leased and not (yet) bought as JW had indicated was the plan
HARL has just repoted this
