Broomtree ref 13.21 post in relation to your point on my Anvil post your criticism is with all due respect unfair. In my post I referenced a comment from Professor Taylor before the Northern ireland Affairs Committee. During his evidence he made a comment about the quality of work by HARL in the past.
Scaff - got you, only applies to harl competition, forget the principle outside that!
Then you suggest it’s the governments fault Harl decided to get into the ferry business? What looks like a serious loss making business at least for a few years? Examples - cancelled lease on AW, new lease purchase on new AW, Lost nearly half the Season, purchase of multiple smaller vessels, one family getting £500 of helicopter flights due to cancellation (and a lot more with it), website, booking agents etc its endless and we haven’t a clue of the actually cost, despite being promised an update when the initial freight deal completed which was Dec/Jan?
Stokey - you need to get over yourself with the tiresome jibs. It’s not always possible to post links whilst on a phone…. If you don’t trust my info just scroll on by…. To the best of my knowledge it’s not a requirement to post links - it was a comment for general info
Whilst I’m here, your Anvil post is meaningless, that was built by a different company (in all but name), under very different circumstances regarding infrastructure and capabilities
Oh, appently it was on the market for £125,000.
Found the actual vessel. It moored alongside the Samson in Penzance at the mo. Named the "Offshore Endeavour" and was used out of PadStien.

Has upset some of the locals who operate these types of small vessels for a living though.
Sealinks FB guy said
"stepping on locals who rely on that annual income is definitely not a great move - H&W would of been far better off sub contracting initially with the charter boats in place rather than going down the route they seem to be going - just all seems quite disjointed and knee jerk….."
This article shows that contary to what Professor Taylor suggested before the Northern Ireland Select Committee HARL does build ships that last. https://www.military.africa/2024/05/british-military-sealift-vessel-anvil-points-refueling-stop-in-south-africa/ I note that Anvil Point was the last major vessel built by HARL and 22 years later it is still in service. I wonder if HARL will get the contract for the next refit.
No worries, Stokey. Found another pic of them testing out the new vessel.

Si_Derman ref 10.30 post thanks for that it is Sunday so my brain is resting.
It's on the Scilly Ferries Facebook page, Stokey. Clue was , "it’s on facebook. " ;)
JW posted a pic of said boat. Not sure if this link will work, but....
https://scontent-lhr8-2.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t39.30808-6/438169136_10231360534013208_8358044097962598884_n.jpg?stp=cp6_dst-jpg_p100x100&_nc_cat=106&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=5f2048&_nc_ohc=gG4oB1YHU9oQ7kNvgGqVAQX&_nc_ht=scontent-lhr8-2.xx&oh=00_AfAsFM5gRYmRULeVlObEQ3AA5lFaXCfFxF7KM808XAhkHw&oe=663D3759
Twin outboard motors so if bumpy it should be reasonably quick.
Further from earlier. " H&W have taken payment for ferry ticket prices , guaranteeing helicopter seats should boat not be in service by then ." So the money is flowing in. Divi's soon then. :)
Levsinvest ref 09.16 post do you know what is supposed to be where the asterisks are. You may need to put some spaces in.
it’s on facebook.

Yeah, any chance of a link BT. I looked last night when it was posted and found nothing on the Scilly Ferries site. Could see no obvious mention of anything on the Air and Sea links FB page either so gave up looking. Noticed this on the company site which read as if they have decided to pretty much given up on this season.
"Our first season schedule fits around existing operators and we look forward to working with both harbours to develop our schedule for Season 2 and beyond..."
It would seem they don't much of a choice, fitting around, without a boat. Of a size that would make it worthwhile at least. Although, people who did pre-book seem more than happy to be getting free helicopter rides. So that should stand them in good stead for customer satisfaction for future bookings. But at the expense of the company before they have taken any paying customers. It would seem they don't much of a choice, without a boat. Of a size that would make it worthwhile at least.
The whole endevour, has been a total waste of time and effort, imo. A distractionary sideshow for very little gain. The only saving grace, afaics, might be the freight side as that could be usefully employed in the main business between the yards. Certainly not, "On time and on schedule", as JW likes to say.
Anyway, rant over, enjoy the rest of the long w/e all. :)
Broomtree ref 21.53 post I see yet again you are posting information without providing any link to the source of your information. I have checked the scilly ferries website and can see nothing about this on it.
BT for a start, Iossg are not part of the Defence industry ! This article is entirely about Defense and also H+W are not a Prime contractor. Your comparison is not valid.
If they were appointed as a prime contractor and given reassurance of ongoing contracts well into the future, then they would not have needed to get involved in Ferries.
Well offering 10 passenger places Monday morning St Mary’s to Penzance on what looks like a conversion of the crew boat…. But a smaller vessel for sure
You mean like Harl trying to buy the Steamship Co on the cheap?
good article in DF especially after the recent NI defense enquiry
Gov/MOD need to support SME like Hydra and Evolve otherwise they will get gobbled up; just like Molloy Aero..
and then back to the cycle of big primes getting bigger and controlling agendas/sme's struggling ...

Awww Karen, yet you feel the need to respond to this. Bless yah..... you can't hide the frustration either love....
Anyway, enjoy weekend, is it sunny in GB? I'm stuck in Croatia doing a bit of business, very nice here, first visit. May stay on a few days.
I would hazard a guess that he is amused by the time you spend communicating with LSE to achieve his removal time after time. Who is the fool ?
He goads and you bite. Lol.
Not a fan of the ban and that includes BP.
It will not have been LTH's , probably one or two with multiple identities, who don't even post. Idiots. I prefer to sift through most posts and glean anything new.
BP informed the board about WB Yeates, 5 months in advance of her dry docking.
Well you're the master of getting banned and coming back.
Pot Kettle?
You're TheDogfarther, aka TinyTim, aka, Gailgirls and whatever else you've called yourself . Sadly, you're not smart enough to hide it.
Xenor, 10:11. Could it be that the markets are responding, softly, softly, to Shell & others criticism of their curmudgeonly values?
Usually, in a rally, it’s 100 first, then 250 etc. but the upthrust seems to be more encompassing this time. Also, Harl seems to have kept an ‘even keel’ though selling pressures appear to be quite high. The LSE may be listening?
I've said quite often that AIM is dead but it is showing some signs of life as its currently at the highest it has been since June and trending up since October. Not sure what is driving it.
BC, for all si says I don’t think he’s part of any group and certainly doesn’t deramp harl , talks alot about charting that’s ok ,I have si in filter but that’s by mutual agreement between us , at least he’s not a deramper like others
