Contrarian123. You are ,of course, correct. However, if a client submits a large buy order then the mm has to find sellers. If there are willing sellers then the sp is not necessarily affected. If there are no willing sellers then the buy price must rise to tempt someone out. The converse is true in similar fashion for a large sell order. Also factor into the equation that mms often engage algorithms that help them to determine would prices should be for the mms best advantage. Very often the sp movements seem very random because of this.
