Was on the Trafalgar Wharf ship lift earlier when I looked in. Someone posted a pic of JW and chums were standing around chatting.

But, rather than departing, it now seems to have been pulled a bit further back into the yard.
Maybe the bloke was giving them a quote to paint it yellow while iyt's out of the water. ;)

Even better, Sea trials not required. MCA happy with what they have witnessed. Straight to the shipyard. Departing now. Per JW on Isles of Scilly Air and Sea Links facebook page
Well dare I say it , that must mean she's performing as expected!š«°
I think @Stokey12 both Mas islander and Braemar certainly may have resulted in contacts made at trade shows , as well as the stateside contract. Definitely an Mou or two, which I expect to see spring into life once funding over the line. Whilst we may be frustrated and want information , in the background the board works tirelessly to achieve common goals. They do not want to fail.
JW posting a response to Andrew Cooke - picking up the regulators at GEQ then proceeding to sea for sea trials for about an hour.

Following on from a successful first day at the Scottish Skipper Expo our team is all set to welcome attendees to our stand.
Don't forget to swing by Stand E14 to discuss your new build, repair, refit and in-service support requirements with our expert Commercial shipping team of David Burke, Andrew Hay and Stewart Crabb.
I am not sure what accounts as a successful first day. I still waiting to hear that a contract has come from any of these shows.
Me too :). Isles of Scilly Air and Sea Links facebook page has photos posted 8 mins ago.
Would like to see that Lse03
Arriving into Portsmouth.
Not sure why this is a surprise. The UK hydrogen strategy is very accessible for all to see. 6 challenges to overcome in order to produce and use at scale.
Regardless what JW spews, until there is certainty on the strategy / funding and framework along with if even IM is in scope, it's a dead duck.
The fact that all regulatory approvals are for Gas, back to the start. He's better off selling the little bit of land and the hole in the ground he has back to the farmer. The hole has to be filled in first , at his cost.... š„“
JW didn't say Q1, he didn't give an estimate for finance this time which was the right move and what he should have done last year. A lot of us predicted Q1 though, I was expecting March. It will probably come once we all stop posting and forget about it.
Just read this from Navy Lookout https://www.navylookout.com/diminishing-strength-of-the-royal-fleet-auxiliary-undermines-the-royal-navys-global-reach/ it does not make good reading. If Team Resolute can bring forward the in service date for FSS I suspect that the MoD will be pleased. This article also raises the question of whether additional RFA ships need to be ordered. I wonder what impact this would have on the ability of Cammell Laird to be awarded the new maintenance contract for the RFA ships that it currently has.
I think Iāll do what Scaffman is doing , come back next months time , I am disappointed that we havenāt had any news when JW did say Q1 , enjoy the good weather everyone hereās to some news in June!!!
Heard on the wireless yesterday that The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) said it would not be going ahead with a planned pilot hydrogen town project. Seems they will be waiting until after 2026, when āstrategic decisionsā on the role of hydrogen in decarbonising heat will be made. The pundit they had on PM news said that the goverment has been warned for some time that it is not the most effective way forward, but the buzz around it being the saviour for all our heating and energy needs is being pushed by those in the industry theselves. TBH, I don't think there is a single solution to the issue and our energy requirements are going to have to come from various sources. The transition away from existing fossil fuels might take longer than they expect.
Was in a lot of the papers and on bloomberg this morning. Here's a link to one article.

Just saw this job vacancy https://jobs.smartrecruiters.com/HarlandWolff/743999983401104-subcontract-manager what I found interesting is that it is apparently based in Appledore and under qualifications it states
Strong knowledge of the legal, import/ export and regulatory environments related to purchasing contracts and framework agreements within the defence sector (project specific).
Maintain knowledge and keep up to date with defence sector updates and supplier performance/ developments (project specific)
Very slow , virtually no trades while ftse continues to climb day after day aim and Harl languishing hmmm
I have just received this email response to my email of earlier this morning I was no told I could not share it so I am.
The sessions yesterday were not information of the service, business or vessel but were a drop in for local businesses to meet our Media and PR team. Ie Advertising for localsā businesses and what we could do to help draw more people to Scilly and to their businesses in the future.
The Atlantic Wolff is coming into Portsmouth today and there will be regular updates on how she gets on and when she will move down the coast towards Penzance.
Kind regards

Just seen this article from the UK Defence Journal https://ukdefencejournal.org.uk/independence-rhetoric-risks-shipbuilding-in-scotland/ He gave an intersting answer to a question of work on Type 83 and Type 32 assuming that the Type 32 is ever approved.
Probably posted already.

The SeaRose FPSO was built in 2004 by Samsung Heavy Industries. The unit services the White Rose oil field, east of St. Johnās, Canada. However, the SeaRose is too big to dry dock at any available shipyard on the east coast of Canada, hence its transportation to Belfast.
In partnership with PF Collins, Pentagon Freight Services UK is supporting the logistics of this complicated project. With parts sourced from the EU, UK, Norway, Canada, and Korea, and over 270 consignments since mid-November 2023.
Pentagon services freight Dartford project team is coordinating this complex effort across several continents, and through various difficult and intricate routes to comply with the myriad and detailed customs procedures and requirements.
The SeaRose is scheduled to return home to the White Rose oilfield once the refit is completed at the end of the year.
