Buy the dips was the advice I read over and over.....
Just added and other £3k ....I have every confidence that better times will return.
Me thinking that the split would do wonders for GSK......................what a load of pony !!!
Agreed.
lol funny man
Feel like I dodged a bullet with this one. Would be over £40k down had I not sold close to £18. Still watching and waiting to see if it gets to the £10 to £11 range, at which point I might be tempted to cautiously buy back in.
Sold back when 1712p before all this mKP change.
Can’t believe there would be loads of arguments going on that Emma should leave and let someone else take to the helm.
Just remember the story of AZN.
Pascal arrived and at first the market was not sure he could transform them when the SP was 2800-3200p.
He has been great as he has been given time.
Emma has had many headwinds not expected to contend with. She will eventually prove everyone wrong..
Well, that sucked! I barely broke even. I had the cycle mapped out, should have sold at £18! But I thought I could hold out.
I'll buy back in at support, looks like £11.80 to me (as mentioned by someone else).
The Generic version of this carry the greatest liability- OTC sales count for 98% of all USA sales and that means the pharmacy and other outlets bear responsibility, when these OTC are brought without prescription
Clued Don't waste your time responding to Porsche1946.....The man/woman is an idiot trolls on many companies on here rants on about Tesla etc good luck with that i'd say......
Porsche1946, ' nothing in the U.K. is worth investing in ' ??? You obviously don't know the Q1 2023 share prices of BP., SHEL, HBR, etc ..in O&G, the dividends of BATS and IMB, the future prices of gold stocks, eg CEY, to name a few !!
all in one ago @$31.20. That is approx. 25M. USD. 08:46AM US time.
Someone feels very confident.
Freudian slip in my last post " anti-UK" bias!!!
see
https://uk.investing.com/news/stock-market-news/gsk-sell-rating-removed-as-zantac-liabilities-expected-to-be-us5bn-2752198
Credit Suisse's"finger in the air" and it is no more than that, suggests a $5bill. hit to GSK by "buying off" the plaintiffs in the Zantac legal action. It is implicit that, to argue the merits of the case in the hope of winning a legal victory is a less sensible strategy than to yield to the US justice sytem's anti - US bias.
I am inclined to agree and would not be surprised to see GSK's lawyers seeking such an outcome. On that basis it may be that (almost)all of the SP damage is now done. I will watch and wait.
...from Berenberg Bank at target £15.
Well said SaMason55,
I have had enough of his pathetic anti UK rants.
I have never filtered anybody on lse.
Now I have.
No one listens to you. Enough people have said this so please go be a keyboard warrior elsewhere.
Zantac was known for years to cause various cancers, the next case will also be that it blocks calcium absorption which has resulted in osteoporosis in long term users. Oooops. This is heading for 1180 suport, nothing in the U.K. is worth investing in and certainly not this. I
It’s definitely just you!!!!
Apologies - CORRECTION:
The market value of 4 “new” GSK shares plus 5 Haleon shares was, more or less, the same on Tuesday 19 July 2022 as 5 “old” GSK share was on the previous Friday i.e. before the Demerger and share consolidation happened.
GSK announced the completion of the Demerger (the “split”) of Haleon plc from GSK at 7 a.m. on Monday 18 July 2022, and trading in the new Haleon plc shares commenced on that date.
After the London market closed on that Monday, the old GSK shares were then consolidated at 6 p.m. on a 4 new for 5 old basis, and trading in the new GSK shares commenced on the morning of Tuesday 19 July.
The market value of 1 new GSK share plus 1 Haleon share was, more or less, the same on Tuesday as 1 old GSK share was on the previous Friday i.e. before the Demerger and share consolidation happened.
There was NO “one week delay”.
A short time lag between the date of the GSK share consolidation and your ISA manager updating their own ISA share records is understandable - but to imply that this was GSK’s fault is not correct.
If they had done the consolidation at the same time as the split, fair enough, but why wait a week ?
'
I've just checked my ISA account, to discover I have 41 less shares in GSK, than when we split from Haleon. Hello I thought, what's going on here, spoke to the helpdesk, only to find that a few days after the split, GSK did a 4 for 5 share split, it's bad enough that the share price has dropped from £18, but a 20% drop in the number of shares, is taking the ****......'' There was no free lunch here, the value of your investment after the split and consolidation should match (not including market forces)
Is it just me ?

It's hilarious how scared people are of a few ambulance chasers. Frankly I think it is disgusting how these American parasites corral thousands of vulnerable people walking out of hospital oncology departments, most of whom possibly never heard of Zantac in their life, to sign up to these farcical, unprovable class actions on the off-chance they are paid to go away. The saddest thing is the patients will get cents in the dollar for any settlements as the legal sharks do what sharks do. More than 14 independent studides into this issue show zero link between the impurity and cancer distinguishable from that resulting by background radation. In other word there's no link. GSK woud be mad to settle with these sharks, show them the road with a big boot.
Yep, think you are dead right. Now hoping dark drop more looking a good add right now but may drop a bit more. :-)
