Tempted to sell sirius and purchase lloyds, nearly 5 up in the last week and nearly 6% divi, the government would never let them go belly up.Tell that to the people who owned them about 12 years ago and lost 90%.

For example, utilities would typically have a high gearing ratio but might be considered acceptable since it's a regulated industry. Utilities have a monopoly in their market making their debt less risky than a company with the same debt levels, which operates in a competitive market.
RE: SSE sell their retail business.13 Sep 2019 21:29
I am watching in the hope that a sp at below £10 may tempt me back in. A £10 sp and annual 80p dividend is an 8% return. You said in July you expected them to fall to £10 in a few months. You also sold out in April at an average of £11.62p.So you have missed out on 21p+68p divi ie 99p/share. It is not easy this stock market lark. You might be correct about the £10 this time.
Highly unlikely under any circumstances and quite comical really, Lol as I said below I was reading about taking a company private and just asked the question out of curiosity, I Also said that LTHr's would sit it out.Now if they offered the £50 /share that RH joked about, I might just be tempted. The long slow process to production is nearly over ,The yeller stuff will soon be here.Maybe I should have asked what will come first, ''Brexit'' or production?.Definitely production.

Phoned up Hamilton and Inches, they have a range of jewellery in stock but not ready for release yet and they do have gold in hand for bespoke rings.Sounded extremely expensive but I suppose these things are subjective.
