good to read everyone's story!
mine is fairly simple, got a tip from a work mate last November. don't know anything about trading. i opened an account with a trading site, bought 1500 CHF worth of share at the time, then was busy with my master's final and forgot about it.. to find out in February, my initial input ad doubled! did my DYOR and invested in small tranches, with what i could afford to have now a total of a little more than 900k share averaging at 4 pence. not much to some other's standard but i have now more than doubled my gain again. my plan is get to 50p, sell a bit to recover it all and wait for the big finale!
this is certainly one of a ride!
GLTA!
Skintnurse..Do not think your 100,000 holding is small..it’s a fortune and congratulations to you and your endeavours..The best bit is you invested in an ethical company and the guys on this board will help you and steer you but of course it’s DYOR and let’s us hope your holding here allows you to enjoy a trip on The Gann with your family ...now that would be a treat to enjoy..Well done .LP
Costamoney..Brst thing you did was take control of your money...well done but please do not get carried away...DYOR..Thete are plenty of excellent guys posting on here and their words are invaluable but I know you know this...even though GGP looks good, do not put all your eggs and your family’s eggs in just a few baskets...spread your risk and know you have found gold with GGP..Best wishes and enjoy your control, as you worked hard for your money .LP
RRR what's up? From your previous posts listed below you must be sitting on a pretty profit!!
30 Jan 2020 14:37 (TLW) "Are you mad? Buying ggp on a 30% spike!" GGP price 3.10p

Porgy and Bess. My favorite. I always liked this song.
Hydrogen, food for thought.
........
Them folks with plenty of plenty
They got a lock on the door
Afraid someone's goin to rob them
While they out making more.
What for?
I got no lock on the door
That the way to be,......
I got plenty of nothing
And nothing is plenty for me.......
.....seems with plenty you sure got to popworry
How to keep the devil away.......
With apologies to the Gershwin's.o
@hydrogen
If it stops at 2nd gen "occasionally", totally agree. The problem is for too many people it becomes regular, and then something stronger is needed.
Enjoy your bike ride! I'll go do an old-man stroll down the street. By the time we get back, maybe we'll be richer!
I need to practice what I preach, though, and sell some shares somewhere. I invested almost all my cash after the crash because I didn't think I'd see this kind of buying opportunity again. Some of my shares are up 40-50% now and are making me nervous. Not this one, though, not nervous here at all.
or just do what my idiot neighbours do
smoke weed until it throws you into a coma for 3 days

"Takingmytime - I tend to disagree ,wholeheartedly... Losing sleep is part of life. And If you're not sleeping well a simple solution is to exercise longer and harder (If possible). It's the best antidote. Along with a large glass of red wine and a couple of 2nd generation Antihistamines like when you're really stuffed."
To each his own. But if a guy pushes his blood pressure sky high, gives himself a stroke, and ends up dead or crippled, that money might not seem so important. Just saying.
I will say that if you've got the discipline to get that additional exercise and it solves the problem, then the investment is good for your health, lol. The antihistamines, not so much. Once you start down that road, it can get ugly.
haha! now it's in my head too JerseyCrew! thx for that :-) I can only hope to have the challege of sudden wealth syndrome...after being wipd out for even the start of a pension post divorce, I will be pleased to have that chance again with a bit of luck and GH's shareholder value promise. heres hoping!
Hi Panama.....since reading your post I now have Depeche Mode in my head singing....I just can,t press the sell....and I just can,t get enough!
A bit greedy on my part and a sign of my age and love of a great era in music.
Thanks to all for sharing some great stories. Wealth is always a contextual concept in my view brought into sharp focus with Covid and suspect many here are reconsidering how the bounties that this stock is now revealing, can make a positive effect on our lifes. I was fascinated by a posters reference to sudden wealth syndrome the other day....never too old to learn!

It’s been a rocky road for me I sold more then a million that I bought in 2017 for .58 so gutted.
Sold just under 2p for SXX and a contribution to my wedding.
I’ve been building up since January but only got 103k of shares now.
The moral of the story is if you find a hidden Gem keep committed and hold for gold.
Ha! Futurebuilder . Brilliant. But that should be our mantra : ‘ I just can’t press the sell ‘! ....( until the time is right that is :-) )

Wow, just reading through everyone’s stories regarding holdings, when they bought in etc. Truly life changing amounts for some.
Greatland Gold is really a once in a lifetime company now. Like I’ve said before around 11.5p was my exit point on my isa because it means no mortgage at the age of 44. But I just can’t press sell. This is kind of a new “it’s only the start” for the company. There’s too much about to happen to let go.
I’m also one of them that never bothered with a pension pot (naughty I know) but now have a cracking amount in a SIPP thanks to Greatland. Have a good day everyone. Hope it’s a massive blue one
Skintnurse. Never let go of the dream —- that way you’ll find a way. ATB
Thank you Panama! My dream is the Trans Siberian when kids are older and a nice Rioja. All the best.
Morning skintnurse and great that you’re sharing. Thank you ! Kudos to you holding down such an amazing job with kids to bring up and amidst Covid. Tough times. But yes you’ve hit upon a fantastic share with a very authentic Crew on board here.
I too enjoy the genuine camaraderie here and yes mushroom is very engaging. Enjoy your picture and the journey this company brings and I hope that wine will taste sweet and that make it on that adventure round the world in due course ! Good luck and ATB. Panama.
Hi Panama
I am a psychiatric nurse with a very small holding of 100,000 shares average 5.8. I found this when I thought I would try stocks and shares with a small inheritance. I read this board twice a day ,got up for the AGM teams meeting that I couldnt get on to, make my kids sit through the you tube videos (thanks Magic Trade) and look at satellite pictures (thanks Paddy) and generally listen to me witter on about what I read (thanks everyone). I also talk about it at work which people find odd but strangely fascinating and my line manager wants to know about it now. I have a picture of the tenements in different colours printed off the internet ready to get an ikea frame for and put on my wall . I will not sell any shares until made to. I may know absolutely nothing about stocks and shares, can't get my head around bid and ask but my job means I do recognize authenticity and an altruism that prompts ppl to give of their time and expertise/knowledge when they don't have to and that comes through loud and clear on this board very often . This resonated strongly with me as this is the ethos in my NHS work in adult mental health which is what prompted me to tentatively add more and more small amounts on multiple occasions within my means. So although a tiny holder, I am equally excited and interested and also grateful as this will provide a little nestegg for my 3 children 18,15,12 in the future. And a nice bottle of wine for me. And I might treat myself to a great train journey of the world at some point. Plus I will look at my picture a lot and enjoy it. And I find Mushroomk posts very funny.
@Spinrock
I like your 1.6p = 2yrs of retirement.
Mine used to be waiting for the moment when I could make a month's salary during the walk to the work's kettle.
Then I was sent home to work from my front room.
Unless I dilly dally in the hall, the kettle is much closer so the equivalent rise much more difficult to achieve.
I think a big milestone, after lots of small buys in Jan / Feb / Mar, was "debt free" at 3.6p. Unfortunately to achieve that would mean selling so here I remain with a fine paper profit not having sold or even top-sliced.
I need a MRE.
And balls of steel....
morning all
Everybody has been sharing and since we are all in this together..
I bought 1 mill shares at an ave of 1.83 back in Oct 17 after my brother had been raving on about GGP for months. I bought another 200k at 2.25 shortly before Newmont decided to walk and was grateful that people on this board had said not to set any stop losses. This was my first investment and I couldn't bare to look at my isa account to see how much GGP had gone down and stopped reading the board. I was pretty devastated that my hard earned savings had diminished but never really lost faith in GH or the Co. I believed that the share price would recover but didn't have any available funds to buy more at that time.
Months passed and we had nuggets from BH and the first great results from HAV and I started reading the board again. The research and help that has been available through the fantastic contributors of this board has been amazing, i.e Paddy News Jerry Jersey Stu etc and the positivity from Mickey DJ CB Reddirt and even Beetham had me buying more when I could afford to..
Forward to March 20 and after lots of ummin and arrin with more fantastic results I decided to open a sipp and transfer an old Aviva pension because I believed that GGP was derisked and would give me a better return for retirement. It took a while to transfer but I got another £58k to add to the pot. I now have just shy of 3mill of these little beauties at an ave of 4.83p. I sold 500k once to take some profit but didn't like the fact that I had less shares so bought back in again a week later for around about the same price lol.
Im not really sure why, but 34p has always been my long term goal for selling but as we all know, this is just the beginning of the share that just keeps giving .. will revise after MRE ..
normally catch up with the board a couple of times a week but since lockdown I have had the time to keep up with the board on a daily basis to the point of being addicted (being furloughed helps) and have been educated by Magic and Hydrogen, entertained by the likes of Mushroom schelmiel and Tig and have loved the cryptic clues from Spy, was your 1> 1.6 ratio a cryptic reference to the golden ratio by any chance? It fits...
I've already managed to pay off my mortgage and will be 55 in July. The share price rises so far have knocked approx 10 years off my retirement , if this keeps on giving, by the end of July I may be able to slice enough to retire at 55. Just worked out that each 1.6 penny rise = 2 years retirement .
I would like to offer my appreciation and thanks for all your valued contributions to the board and wish you all good fortune and happiness.
The weather may have been wonderful of late but the sunshine makes it very difficult to view my tablet screen whilst relaxing on a sunlounger so iv'e been casting/mirroring my tablet/phone screen to the tv, it's great for Paddy sat and his images from twitter on a 42 inch screen.
GLA and stay safe

Loving the positivity here today folks. Keep up the good work.
Ha Chrisatbirdies, I’m supplementing my drinks with cbd from another investment. Followed Chesh and Fred16 and it seems to be ok. :-) Small world and normally a friendly one one you learn to see through the smoke. ;-)
Cheers Chris, nearly made up my losses to. Looking forward to the future.
Hi bellers.
I remember you well.
I will join you in that tipple.a couple of real ales followed by the odd one or two malt whiskies.
Great messages the thing is my book Dunkirk has been sat on the same page for weeks as this share is too gripping! Ps Costa hope your enjoying your Quilmes still. I ordered as a treat last week two boxes of Cruzcampo and Mahou directly from Spain which should last me a bit. Salud! MFU
