Huge volatility on this stock, moving sharply up and down by the day. Is it just the impact of the tender offer working through or something else?
According to Equiniti, cheques will be sent out on 16th December
Quick question has anyone received their money through from tender offer ? When is it due to be paid ?
CHRI55
This is just a notification to show they excepted the tender
Blackrock also tendered looking at their holdings announcement
They will pay the special imo.
In fact i think holding for another year or so will be profitable!!
Afterwards is more touch and go imo. GLA.
"First Group added that it plans to start paying dividends to shareholders again within the next year. "
Next year they might find excuse not to pay or might just pay a token dividend. I don't have faith.
Really hard to decide what the figures really mean here but the eps puts the p/e around 8 which looks too low to me. Travel reductions with wfh might push sp down and if it does I will buy any dips.
Thanks Clued but I had kind of worried that one out!:)
Looking good and feel like it has some legs so going to hold and let the trend be my friend until the bend at the end.
That's now 4 RNS's re holdings (3 today) re II's increasing their holdings which shows they have confidence in future. Not sure why we have not seen one re Coast as thought they were getting out completely, unless the statement in tender RNS is sufficient?
Rights issue S.P. goes down , buy back and S.P. goes up
The S.P. was also effected by world influences like most company's last few weeks.
Lets see what the special dividend ( before end of calendar year ) brings and how it effects the S.P.
Maybe but don't think it's that. Maybe it is people recycling their proceeds from the tender offer, especially index funds which will need to buy quickly to meet fund rules. Maybe it is something else but suspect not. The obvious deal for FGP is to buy Go-Ahead, but that comes with a lot of baggage!
Due too NEX buying Stagecoach
FGP next lol
But muchaboutmoney, yes there are less shares but also £500m less cash on the Bal Sheet !!
Nice uptick I wonder if institutional investors (II's) buying back in or the new one increasing holding. We will find out in next day or so if it is II's or private investors!
What to do next
Are the 500m shares removed there are only 1,223 M shares in issue.
I invested massive at about 75 to bring my average down to around 100 so tender has helped( 10 % ish but very brief )
It would have been nice to have had this tender in normal circumstances ie without covid and world wide fluctuations.
Although you can see the effect the tender offer has had on the charts ,still very similar to other company charts that are just reflecting covid impact ect .
I am usually 100% in or 100% out but no idea really where this is going so edged my bets this time.
67 % ended up less than that must depend where shares are held.
That’s a really interesting point Davde.
Has to be a good chance that quite a few people will simply buy back in with a near 12% profit.
With 500m less shares, there’s a good chance the share price will go quite a lot higher if Covid behaves itself.
Be interesting to see how this plays out.
I will hold my remaining shares for the time being in anticipation of dividend reinstatment, a challenge I know, also special dividends for earnout and greyhound asset sales. Wether or not I reinvest the tender funds is the question outstanding and I am in wait and see mode!
yep. 67.2%.
Have yo decide what to do with the other 32.8% now - or when the transaction happens
I got the same figure Davde- 67%
Hi, yep got my sums a bit wrong. Done them now, 67.2504% of your shares will be tendered if you fully tendered all your shares.
Pyueck I get the figure to be circa 67%. Think it depends on how you read the 53 percent scale back. I read it that you get circa 47 percent of excess shares tendered above the 38 percent. Might be wrong as not fully awake yet!
Thanks PYUECK.
Look in the rns tab, on London stock exchange website etc. Basically if you fully tendered around 73% of your shares were tendered.
Where? What? Any links etc? Thanks
It was announced this morning.
When do we find out the amount of our shares that were tendered? How long does this sort of thing normally take? Obviously the tender would’ve been confirmed at 1800 on Monday but nothing has been mentioned about it since?
