From B’berg
The Liberals and the Center Party have so far also rejected feelers by Lofven on supporting a Social Democratic government.
Annie Loof, who leads the Center Party, said on Wednesday that she doesn’t believe in a government that crosses the political blocs. The blocs should stop quibbling over who is the biggest and instead focus on real, effective talks, she said.
For now, markets and business leaders in Sweden are taking the political situation in their stride.
The chief executive at Swedish insurer Folksam, Jens Henriksson, says it seems clear that Lofven will be voted out as soon as parliament meets in two weeks, with Kristersson getting a mandate to try to form a new government.
Yep, looking good for us without the Greens. Confidence in BEM is growing over in Sweden, that's for sure. Every reason to as well, with our application allegedly bulletproof. About time our fortunes changed for the better. Cheers Tintin.
in Sweden. could reach 0.7 sek by the end of today - about 6.1p in real money.
Yep, we've talked it all through until we're blue in the face, so looking forward to new developments now matey, then talking about those until we're blue in the face. Lbjj will be back from Italy by then. Lol. :-)
Thanks.Sounds like good news either way
Alliance is right wing - so no chance of Greens being included in gov't. Alliance could either work with Social Democrats (centre left) - no need for Greens or Left - or Sweden democrats - v right wing.
Sorry folks.Don't know what happened there.
Thanks Eric.I have stayed in touch but all has been very quiet with exceptions (the hot air brigade)

What does that mean tintin.Would an Alliance include the Greens or are they history? It does seem that nobody wants to work with them but I don't trust politicians.
Spot on Pocko. Pennies on the sp, then some of us can perhaps crack a partial smile. Tally ho!
What does that mean matey? Patience something or other no doubt.
Though the initial count is over, it is still far from clear what Sweden's next government may look like, with the current government intending to stay in place until parliament opens later in the month but the four-party Alliance saying it plans to seek a mandate to form a government.
"The Alliance is the government alternative which is clearly larger than the Social Democrats and clearly larger than the current government [comprising the Social Democrats and Green Party]," Christian Democrat leader Ebba Busch Thor said at an Alliance press conference on Monday.
Good to hear from you again John.
Lol. Blue suede brothel creepers, the voice of reason.
CAB have been and gone - all up to Gov't and Mining Inspector now. These are the local elections - local Councillors etc rather than MPs. But it does show a growing dissatisfaction with the previous administration.
This slipped under the radar...what does this mean for CAB? Anything?

An independent party campaigning against the closure of hospitals has come first in the county council elections in Norrbotten in the far north of the country, ending an age of Social Democrat dominance.
In the regional elections to the county councils, the Social Democrats lost many of their seats, and will have to relinquish power in several assemblies to the centre-right alliance.
In the far north of the country, many voters turned to the independent Health Care Party instead. There, the Social Democrats have been running the county council for the last 84 years.
The Health Care Party has been around since 1994 and has been second biggest for a long time. But in this election, they made the step to become the biggest, getting 35 percent of the votes compared to the Social Democrats, on 30 percent.
"It took some time for people to realise that the Social Democrat leading party was not going to change anything. They were going to continue centralising everything. I think people were fed up with that," Kenneth Backgård, leader of the Health Care Party, told Radio Sweden.
Sweden's 20 county councils, the landsting, are in charge of public health care and transport.

Moving by the pound... Remember that.. "putting pounds on the share price" Suede shoe talk
When we start moving by the pence, then I’ll get excited. But it’s true... a contracting market such as ours will move fast.
not many shares - every time someone sold here they got shipped off to Sweden.
Doesn't take much for the 'wulf to move does it?
