Good find.
We rarely talk about this side of the business as so much is up in the air at present.
However if they can do a deal with the governments it’s a very steady and stable I co e for years to come and very expandable.
Scotland’s first carbon capture and storage system to be developed by 2027
A partnership between a number of major oil firms has been agreed which will help develop Scotland’s first carbon capture and storage system.
Ineos Chemicals Grangemouth, Ineos FPS and Petroineos have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Acorn CCS Project.
CEO Nick Cooper said: “The Acorn Project partners (Storegga, Shell and Harbour Energy) are delighted that Ineos and Petroineos have entered into an MOU with Acorn, which is a really significant step in managing Scotland’s industrial emissions.
“The Acorn CCS and hydrogen project is advanced, highly scalable and has clear visibility of a large CO2 customer base.
“Acorn provides critical carbon reduction infrastructure to the growing Scottish Cluster of emitters and to the wider UK.”
The Scottish Government’s Just Transition Minister Richard Lochhead welcomed the announcement.
“We are supportive of the Acorn project, considered the most advanced CCS project in the UK.

Am delighted to finally being nicely above my average ! After so long . Good grief ! May this now power on and pay nice divis
Now above the 52 week high. This will now be on many radars now. If it wasn't for the pesky EPL I'm sure it would be soaring.
Edging closer to 330p. Might take a few attempts to push through it, but if/when it does then next target is £4.
It's just touched £3.25 to sell seems a lot of confidence.
Absolutely delighted with last month.
Despite oil prices being static looks like the market and investors are really begining to beleive in the merits of the tie up and deal.
Personally I think we will be very vulnerable to a take over at any price under £4 and this is a super confident hold for me as the deal gets closer with no real barriers [ I can see] to completion.
Direction of travel for oil is from the price at open but looking like 🥳time
On the day of the news announcement, the price hit an intray day high of 328.9 - I think thats the short-term target
Strong follow through on last nights auction, even though overall market and Brent is rather meh...
Once more, excellent to note, especially once again, still even further reductions in HBR Short positions as evident once again here today, now this being the SIXTH consecutive/back to back rapid reduction by GLG Partners LP during the months of April and May (3, 4, 5, 16, April 2024 along with now also on 09, and 17 May 2024).
Always, let the trend be your friend!

Is about to burst here. The price has been pinned to the 280s by GS since January as their desired entry level.
We're about to enter Q3 with deal completion earmarked for Q4. When there's certainty of completion I believe this will run, who knows to where. There may be bumps in the road but ultimately it's going one way.
Are these last two trades right.
I know HBR is on a role but this seems too good to be true ?
1.36m shares at a sizeable premium to the closing offer price
Someone wanted shares in a hurry!
Anyone watch the auection? Lots of buy orders or 1 or 2 large ones?
"£3.30 is Key in which way?"
It was resistance in December 2023 after the deal announcement, but also a previous support level which broke in autumn 2022 after the announcement of increase in EPL.
Labour might listen to UNITE (and GMB) if they threatened to pull the plug on their funding of the most dangerous government it's possible to imagine. Words alone won't do the trick. Nor will petitions. Show me the money (or the absence of it in in the case of the Labmunist Party).
Interesting summary of the current status of the UKCS in Reuters today:

£3.30 is Key in which way?
"Sooner or later, a Labour government will have to face up to the necessity of nationalising the energy sector and stop the profiteering looting of our national assets."
No thanks!
330p is that key level, come to daddy!
