I agree. The German approval is significant, still a long way to go...
The debt reduction is a nice touch.
Bonker99.. Don’t feed the fish/donkey
Decent update pretty much as expected. Great news on Germany and the deal at large. And I like the fact they are testing.. They must have found something.. We shall see…
Bonker99.. Don’t feed the fish….
My last add was early Feb at 260p - my stake building was at 220s over a long period - top-ups since then have been very small in comparison.
Get a grip bonkers you've been forever topping up so how the fxck have you got a 230 average
At least attempt to keep it real 😂
Really pleased with the update and the reaction today. Feels like onwards and upwards.
Linda as others have said have played a blinder. No debt and yes no cash flow in 2024 but that's merely the timing of tax payments.
Loads to look foward to and I'm hoping if merger goes forward without hick ups we will see £3.50 - £4.00 with a nice circa 26p annual dividend.
After that who knows ? Take out by a major as expanded company looks really attractive. Solid hold for me.
Yes, I'm so wrong here I'm crying over my 230p average.
Could be the reason you always get it wrong then but let's hope your right it's a long time coming and 8 percent moves on no news are not out of the ordinary 😉
#China April crude oil imports rise 5.45% on previous year
I don't track daily gaps mate, only weekly and she's very tidy down below.
I'm expecting north of £4 here in Q3.
This caught my eye:
"post-hedging oil and UK gas prices of $83/bbl and 49 pence/therm"
Given 2024 average gas hedges are 67p - swap and collars combined - with the lowest average at 54p - swaps, and Q1 HH gas pricing at c.70p/therm, how can the realised gas price be as low as 49p/therm?
I see two possibilities.
1) The Q1 hedging was much lower than the 2024 average - it would have to be very low. Or,
2) It's a typo and should read as $49/boe, ot 49p/therm - which comes close by my sums.
Have I missed something?
How high b4 the pullback to fill the gap Bonkers?
All the office bots out 😂
The secret is pay as much as you can into a company pension which is contributed and recieves valuable tax relief .
All I have seen with owning shares is that its manipulated to the core and maybe you will get lucky with one share but that's if your super lucky
Nice update - oil playing nicely too - onwards and sideways-upwards.
I sold half my holdings at £2.83 back in February and have bought them back today @ £2.95. I like the results hopefully onwards and upwards from here but who knows as this share never ceases to amaze!
My advice Nitro (for what its worth...), don't wait until you're are older. Buy good businesses when you're young, forge a habit of always buying (good companies, preferably that pay dividends), reinvest, stay disciplined. By the time you are 60 the compound effect will make you a millionaire. The secret is to start early and don't gamble..imo

Well sie Germans have approved the deal so looks like it will go through. Shame I'm not holding any more. Was going to buy back in at 279p yesterday but promised myself not to chase back into it. To be honest I'm happier without holding shares anyway. Always feels like your money is in a roulette machine. Maybe when I'm older and retired I will have a dabble , or if there's another covid situation ;-)
I think people were nervous about wether or not this huge deal would actually happen. However after this update its looking very likely that it will. Not longvto go either
This is where I don't agree fully. Profits were used to pay the debt and share buybacks as well as the windfall tax. Now that the debt is lower and can't really throw all the profit into that will there be more share buybacks in aid to keep profit low?
Politics Ducky. Profits wiped out by windfall tax last rime. Something aleays seemed to come along and put a spanner in the works, so investors are cautious on this one.
At the end of December last year, Harbour signed a deal with BASF and Letterone to acquire Wintershall Dea’s upstream oil and gas assets for $11.2bn (£9bn). When completed, the deal will boost the company’s presence in Algeria, Argentina, Denmark, Egypt, Germany, Libya, Mexico and Norway.
At the time of the deal, the firm said the merger would add 1.1bn barrels of oil equivalent (boe) of 2P reserves to its portfolio at an estimated cost of $10/boe and boost production by more than 300,000kboepd.
Should now have the power to push through £3 after that update, and then start making our way towards £4
And..... breathe
Another solid update from a solid business.
My job requires me to analyse and comment on UK company earnings. And whenever I look at a company earnings where I think, hmm this looks like a very good business at a very good price, I compare the numbers to Harbour and they are not even close.
Maybe I am missing something, until I find it I will keep buying.
True but the tax in the results will be key - thieving Tories - and Labour far worse
Solid update, and our dividend payments arrives soon. Over the years the dividend payments have pushed me into profit with this share. Just need a higher share price now. GLA
