Clean Air Power (AIM: CAP), the developer of Dual-Fuel™ combustion technology that enables heavy-duty diesel engines to operate on a combination of diesel and natural gas, is delighted to announce that the Company has received a significant Genesis Edge Systems order from a European operator.

Clean Air Power are developing a variant of the existing Genesis Edge Dual-Fuel™ system and, following a successful trial, will deliver a minimum of 50 systems under the agreement in 2012. The development contract and the system sales will be worth approximately £800,000, on the basis of the minimum order volumes as above. The operator concerned has been running a number of trucks fitted with the Genesis Edge system since 2009.

Commenting on the announcement, John Pettitt, CEO of Clean Air Power said:

"There is a growing recognition that heavy duty trucks, using Dual-Fuel™ technology are able to replace the majority of their diesel consumption with natural gas which is a clean and abundant fuel. This order is further indication that natural gas is an increasingly important fuel for truck operators."
