I think that the whole market is fragile

The idea that easyjet hasn't explained it's plans for growth is crazy. easyJet has a very clear growth strategy.

Further growth at easyJet Holidays through expansion of destinations from UK, France and Germany. The expansion of their fleet has also been very clearly communicated. More efficient and larger aircraft are in the process of delivery.

The plan is far clearer than ryanair who appear to be standing still. Jet2 are doing the same fleet resizing as easyJet and already have established massive percentages of seats on package sales.

easyJet are where the market values them. I think that there are just too many loose shares.

There isn't any funds for future bookings in the easyJet cash situation. Any funds for future bookings are held away from the operation of the business.

If they have cash then it's cash or investments that are liquid.

I disagree. Oversupply and reducing demand will drive the oil price. Supply opportunities are huge and some of those are low cost. Opec have realised they have lost control and BRICS is being widely used with many other countries seeking to join making new markets available.

It's going down but by how much is the question.

$55 is unsustainable for many US producers.

Sachs are forecasting oil at $55. Given a US depression it could go lower.

I am working in hospitality on the Costa del sol and Portugal. This has been a great year, Málaga airport is having another record year. However our demographic shows UK visitors are slightly down. Belgium, Scandinavia and Germany are up.

We are seeing Brits coming mainly for 10 or 11 days instead of 14 so that maybe how they are playing it.

I expect this year to be up because of the new bases. Our hotels are easyJet holidays listed not Jet2.

The story across the region is mixed, we have done very well and we are in the 4 star sweet spot. Prices are around 6% up on last year for us but those with capacity now are discounting.

A 10% buyback would squeeze liquidity substantially.

I bought £25k this morning at the middle of the spread.

There's obviously stock slushing around and that needs lifting off.

It's been a very clean summer, very few disruptions and certainly here in Spain it's been a very strong summer. The economy here is really booming.

It will be interesting to see the numbers.

We'll definitely see a strong easyjet holidays performance. Looking at the prices easyJet are mostly where comparison is possible substantially more expensive than ryanair

My thoughts are that the trading is with just a few percent of the shares. Remove those and the game changes to a level more people are prepared to step out at.

At the moment it seems to be moving with the oil price.

I would like to see a substantial share buyback. Jet2 are spending around £1.2 million a day on share buybacks and removing 7 or 8% of the shares in issue. So far it hasn't helped the share price much largely because they are an aim listed share. At easyJet it would help much more with many more shares in institutions hands

They are mopping up a lot of loose shares every day with the buyback. I am trading Jet2 between easyJet and BAE. Just £25k chunks. So far on ebb and flow it's doing nicely. I am not really bothered about the share price as long as it goes up whilst I hold it. The spread is quite tight and no tax so it's a good candidate.

Airlines generally have gone through a phase where good news hasn't been valued.

Just ebbing and flowing I guess with the oil price but airlines and BAE are generally opposing on most days so I just try to catch the wave.

Today is a prime example. Jet2 down, BAE started down and recovered strongly. I potted a few percent and now need Jet2 up from here but whatever happens I now have 34 more shares than last week.

Whilst Málaga airport is having another record year there's definitely a lack of UK travellers. Our demographic shows growth in Belgium, German and Scandinavian guests.

There are several u tube presenters from the Costa asking where are the Brits. Certainly we have many booked until October now then again Christmas and Easter but our numbers a flat on last year.

It seems that wealth in Europe is increasing at a faster pace than the UK currently.

With Rheinmetall recovering half of its fall yesterday and BAE not so far it's looking very cheap and prime for a correction.

Trump meeting with Putin is irrelevant in my opinion.

Trump doesn't understand the position of both sides. They are so far apart, Trump telling both sides what they want to hear isn't going to happen.

When eventually the end comes to the Ukraine war no matter the outcome European defence spending will massively increase. BAE are so embedded in the European industry they will attract massive rewards.

The US business is the biggest risk given the suicidal economic path of America.

BAE are globally diverse and have industry in 40+ countries so I feel comfortable with the near term future.

BAE isn't about Ukraine.

I put another £25k in today on the dip. Nothing not to like at this price

I don't know if the liquidity is low I have never had any trouble buying or selling. I don't trade in big numbers around £25k and it always within the spread.

Ultimately the share buyback will mop up loose shares but £250m may not be enough to cause a squeeze and force the price up.

Indeed but there are many who just surf for dividends.

Share buybacks are in my opinion better value for long term holders.

I would rather have a larger share buyback. I am sick of carpetbaggers coming in just for the dividend then going on the first rise after.

This is a substantial share buyback. The free floating share volume isn't huge and this buyback reduces it further. You can see from the purchases they are sweeping up mainly small PI trades. Shares away from "save" hands are limited.

It's no good getting a 3% dividend and the share price dropping 10%.
