If a dog of a share is one that responds to risk then yes these are the shares people want.

If you are going to invest in a market like this invest in quality then don't look in until everything settles down.

That's for your mental health.

I try to buy cheap but I don't care if it's not the bottom as long as when everything settles the price refloats.

It's only at that point that quality matters. Good and bad get treated the same.

I think what you need to know about Iran is they are not going to take on America on Americas term. They are not likely to take government action beyond saving face.

Iran will work through others on sift American targets. In their position I would target US cruise ships, aircraft, American universities and schools abroad.

I would block and restrict access to oil but it would be selective. Just restrict flow to Europe and the US.

This will be a long game. Every time they kill an American it will be to remind trump that he did that.

America is in a downward spiral and it won't surprise the world when US debt defaults in a few months time.

@espirit. Money is relative to your means to your means. My biggest investment is paying massively and life is good at the moment so I can afford some risk. The bulk of my holding is from October 23. Tax is punishing here in Spain so I just leave it until I have more shelter.

If I sell now I lose a quarter of the profits so I am in no hurry.

Easyjet are involved in my business so I have an interest in their success. I also hold BAE and have had a great ride with them despite pressure on them right now.

I had a £50k sell on bae just under £20 a share and it didn't fill. I didn't notice and next thing it dropped 50p. I lost out because I went to the beach.

I make lots if mistakes. I hold around 80000 shares but I am not at all concerned about those.

However when one middle east country bombs another then risks increase. If you don't take that as a sell sign then what will it take. Clearly the oil price is going up.

I have sold around 60000 shares and I will get back in at some point with those.

Stille. Frustration with what. It's quite clear why easyjet are currently down and yes it's a temporary event we hope but there's increased risk so the share price responding to that is completely normal.

They may be frustrated that they didn't sell and are sitting on cash now but that's nothing to do with easyJet.

BAE, Leonardo, Japan Aircraft launch Edgewing JV for fighter jets

(Alliance News) - BAE Systems PLC, Leonardo Spa, and Japan Aircraft Industrial Enhancement Co Ltd on Friday announced the launch of a new joint venture, Edgewing, which will lead the design and development of the next-generation combat aircraft under the global combat air programme, or GCAP.

The joint venture marks a milestone in the trilateral defence collaboration between the UK, Italy and Japan. Edgewing will act as the design authority for the aircraft throughout its lifecycle, with the first in-service date targeted for 2035 and operational use expected beyond 2070.

Edgewing will be headquartered in the UK and will operate with integrated teams across all three partner nations to maximise coordination with the GCAP International Government Organisation, GIGO.

Marco Zoff, former head of Leonardo's Aircraft division, has been appointed as Edgewing's first chief executive officer. He said the new entity aims to "set a new global standard for partnership, innovation and trust," while contributing to national supply chains and long-term security.

"We are incredibly excited to launch Edgewing at the heart of the global combat air programme," Zoff said. "Together, we will push boundaries, embrace agility, and create a legacy of security and prosperity for our nations."

GIGO Chief Executive Masami Oka welcomed the launch, calling it "an important step forward" for the international joint development initiative and emphasising the importance of effective collaboration between governments and industry.

Shares in BAE Systems were down 0.6% at 1,908.85 pence in London on Friday afternoon. Leonardo was up 0.1% at EUR47.20 in Milan.

The oil price will always hammer airlines even if it's hedged nearly 100%. The limited drop in oil futures today on news tells us that there's lots at play here with no certainty of outcome and the weekend is ahead.

Easyjet just continue with business as normal and everything else will come good at some point in the next few years

No hurry to do anything to or me. 1% up 1% down is irrelevant.

It's not about what is real. It's not about full planes, strong ticket prices or profit. It's about the chances of other people selling or buying and for how long.

I am not trading the ebb and flow. The ebb and flow changes every couple of days. I am not pushing the price up based on a chart then selling to repeat. This creates the ebb and flow.

I am out until the circumstances are less risky. This is an investment strategy not day trading.

Charts don't tell you anything about the business performance or the investment environment they just tell you the historical share price, any projection is fantasy.

Stumpy I am not trading easyJet on ebb and flow. People who do that create the ebb and flow which becomes self fulfilling.

I am 80% out of easyjet and will remain light whilst the flip flop of trump creates global uncertainty. Having a world leader with no economic clue will mark most shares down on the risk people are prepared to be exposed to.

I am mainly investing in 440w panels for my solar farm as the return is crazy after year 4 or 5.

I having been adding at BAE since December. I will at some point switch that to easyJet but I want to see how the summer disruptions are going.

Looking ahead our hotel demand Is good until Christmas. Q1 26 is well behind last year and Easter is almost sold completely already so mixed messages.

I am hoping for easyJet that the work they did last winter in North Africa can deliver this year and Israeli aggression doesn't put people off the region.

I will wait and see. I took a few today but have plenty left. I wouldn't be surprised to see it dip but that's just a poor market playing out. easyJet shouldn't be moving with the losers in the sector but it's how it is.

Buy quality and buy it cheap.

BAE are 40% exposed to their US business. That creates substantial risk. The us economy will at some point have a reality check over debt and spending. For now they appear to be in denial. The US are a superpower in decline and trump accelerates that every day as his nonsense becomes more extreme.

If I was buying American debt I would be very cautious and I would want exceptional returns.

The European business is very strong, BAE are right through the European market with high demand products.

BAE has a bit further to run but the bulk is done now, they could go to 23 or 24 in the next few months. I bought in around £12 and have enjoyed the ride.
